Online search was bad. Could have been how I asked the question. l though I tried using keywords to direct it. Online or AI allows for no deviation to find anything. Either you use the exact vocabulary the system knows or forget it. Not all people have college degrees. Called and got a wonderful person to help me. She helped me get my taxes transferred.

IT NEVER PRINTED THE VOUCHER!!!! It even came up "Important Step!! You must print!!!!" I'm not printing a BLANK page!!! If I have a heart attack or stroke over this, I have informed my sons to file a lawsuit again Turbo Tax!! Your software this year WAS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, the program is logical and easy to follow but in some situations, entering the necessary information is difficult to do. I would suggest that the programmers sit down with CPA's to work through actual representative cases to work out some of the "bugs".

The Federal portion was fine. The State (Mississippi) portion needs some work. There were a number of sections that were not very clear about what was needed. For example, it trying to ask me for income earned from two investments - both of which were the same one with a slightly different name. It took a while to find how to delete one of them. There were others, but I don't remember now what they were. Unfortunately, I didn't keep notes on that which I know isn't much help. Sorry.

I have been using your program for years, the Schedule C, long forms and now your non long forms. This year with the changes , you have a lot more questions that I wasn't sure whether they were applying to my taxes. I researched and found a lot did not. I suppose this is the new changes that the government has made. ,

I had a BIG problem with TurboTax this year because when I started my return and then logged out to get information, it refused to relaunch which meant I had to delete the file and start all over again. Very annoying, although I saw on some online message pages that many people were having the same problem. I've been using TurboTax for years and never encountered this problem so I was very disappointed.

I found the start up process very unintuitive after entering activation code. The start up screen took me several cycles to finally click on the right thing to starting using the software. Was this to try and upsell other products? The import function did not find my 2024 turbo tax return nor did it provide a way to search my computer for it. I ended up opening my 2024 return which 2025 turbo tax converted and seemed to get the previous years info. However, after entering dividend income I discovered that despite filing Married Filing Jointly, the software did not allow my wife and myself to enter separate income. I checked Personal Info and Turbo Tax advised using Married Filing Jointly (which I already was). After selecting Married Filing Jointly, I had to reenter all personal data and subsequently all income payees that Turbo Tax showed me when I first started using the software. I have never had a problem importing a previous years in all the years I have been using Turbo Tax.

I have used TurboTax for the past several years and have been very satisfied with it—but not so much for my 2025 return. Using the chat feature to find help for specific topics/questions was a frustrating experience, almost always resulting in a waste of time/effort. After several hours of preparing my 2025 return using TT and finally at the point of e-filing, suddenly I was asked for 2024's AGI and had difficulty easily locating that one piece of datae. Somehow the TT software did not seem to me to be as intuitive as it has been in the past.

You make it very difficult to mail in State Taxes. I owe a few dollars so why would I want to pay $25 file electronically when I can mail my check for less than a dollar. I always E-file Fed as it is included. Make it easy to get to the "print for mail" option.

Generally good. However, sometimes explanations/instructions are lacking in clarity. I would expect "help" to be more clear than the government IRS document's instructions. Especially with an amended return as those are more rare than a straight up return. Nowhere in the initial instructions, or, any part of the amended return instructions, does it state that a 1040X will be generated and be included with your amended return. Additionally, a page with "Original", "Amended", and "Change" columns with the affected data should be included in the "Review" section prior to finalizing and e-filing. The program failed to bring prior year's dollar figures into the comparison chart of 2024 vs. 2025 except for the state refund.
