This year was the worse that I've experienced with Turbo Tax instructions. The 1st state filing should have been free. I ended up paying $25 for both Virginia and Georgia. I will follow up for refund. Overall experience was not well. Maybe I'll pay someone to file next year,

There are a number of things that are annoying, and they are annoying each year. For example. If I want to go to do income and I click on it. EVERY SINGLE TIME.. I have to first confirm what I want to keep or remove as income items and THEN make the choice whether to walk through or to choose what to work on. Doing that once is fine, but every single time I want to work on something, or go back and forth, it is just a pointless pain. Second, the help/search for help is SLOOOOOOW. Not really even usable.

Turbo tax should prompt you if you select "refund by check" that the federal government no longer accepts refund by check unless special circumstances. From EO 14247 3/25/2025. My refund is delayed and I have to go to IRS.gov to enter my bank info. I been a customer of Turbo Tax since the days of 3 1/2 floppies or before and I am disappointed in your product. You have a bug on the driver license entry page. If you accidently select a date format under ISS instead of driver license you cannot deselect it or move on unless you enter a false date.

I have used TurboTax for many years and it is always excellent. The prompts for complete information and to fix errors is an important and excellent part of the process. Even with moderately complex returns, TurboTax deluxe has been excellent, especially with the ability to automatically download from Investment advisory services, the details of multiple investment accounts with many investment transactions. The time that saves is measured in at least 6 to 8 hours of input time.

I love how turbo tax always makes things easy for me. I had an issue since I didn't file a return from a previous year. I called to talk with a representative and they were super helpful. They literally stayed on the phone with me until I was comfortable to move forward on my own. I am for sure using Turbo tax again next year!

I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and have always given it a 5 star review. This year I was very disappointed that It's deductible was not included. I have used it extensively in the past and it saved a lot of time. What was provided with the program this year I found to be cumbersome and unusable.

Many problems with the software. Would not recognize my prior year return initially. Whenever I launched the software and there were updates, clicking the Update button would close the window, then nothing would happen. I would have to quit and start over to get it to work - sometimes several times. Every time I launched it, it would require activation again, and claim that it was activated on multiple machines. When I first purchased it, there were many forms and features missing. All in all, it was a big let-down from previous years.

TurboTax made hundreds of accurate computations, but at the end, when I was filing an amended state return, TurboTax made one glaring mistake. I had filed a paper return to the state, and this same state requires amended returns to be filed on paper. However, TurboTax told me (incorrectly) that since I had filed the state return electronically, I did not need to send the amended return at all! No address was provided for an amended return by paper.

I have used TurboTax Desktop for many years and have always found it to be excellent--5 stars. This year was different. One of my 1099-Rs had an amount in box 2a that was less than the amount in box 2. The lesser amount was also included in box 16 (State distribution). This form is no different than all past forms since I have been retired and yet Turbo Tax would not accept this number as correct and kept calling it an error. I tried to correct this supposed error multiple times but still kept getting an error notice for the amount listed in box 2a. I finally just ignored the error notice and submitted my return with the correct numbers from my 1099-R.

Your user interface has gone from very good to almost unusable. Unless you go back to somethng more like the old user interface, I will not procure Turbotax for next year. Your changes added a huge amount of frustration and days of unnecessary repetitive work. I finally resorted to using forms, I can only hope I got it right. I have used TurboTax for the past 20 years (maybe longer) and in one year, you destroyed the trust I had in you.
