Using TurboTax Deluxe in the past has been a pretty straight forward process. Unfortunately, the ability to easily E File a Federal return (free) and mail in a State return (free) has become more cumbersome. Intuit is making it difficult to mail in a State return so it can charge its users an additional $25! I hope you receive enough complaints about this that you either fix the filing process to mimic earlier versions of the software or include a FREE e file option for all states!

Desktop product interface easy to use with the forms feature. Most points are clearly explained, covering a variety of potential situations. They do a good job with the walkthrough for the most part. It was a bit intimidating the first time (I used to do it by hand and mail when my tax situation was incredibly simple), but this is now my third year using it now that I have a few more considerations, and I'm happy with it.

I am a CPA who specializes in tax, and the software changes for TY2025 were confusing not only to me, but to my family members who called me in frustration. I spent significant time helping them over the phone as a result of these changes. My family stated they are inclined to try a different tax provider next year due to their frustration this year. PLEASE rework the TY2025 changes so that the software is more friendly to the average taxpayer. While trying to find answers to the TY 2025 software issues, I found that many taxpayers were experiencing the same issues. The most frustrating was the Schedule D digital asset check box not being selected and having to review each asset sale to select the check box. My sister had 134 non-digital asset sales to individually select. This is obviously a defect in the software. By the way, the AI to type this message is worse than aweful to use as it keeps correcting my typing, such as "te" rather than "the". Knock it off. AI is not yet reliable, and everyone in tax and accounting knows this to be true. ALL TYPO'S ARE COURTESY OF YOUR TERRIBLE AI MODEL.

Help Turbo tax Deluxe will not allow me to efile? never had this problem in 14 years with Turbo tax. It is asking for a correct zip code on a Capital Bank and Trust form for my Wife. It is the same as my form and it accepts it. Need to file BY tomorrow.

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR AT LEAST 20 YEARS. I AM A RETIRED ACCOUNTANT. MY LONG TIME ISSUE IS Turbo Tax entry screens (especially for itemized deductions) continue to diverge from the sequence and definition of the actual IRS Tax forms and IRS instructions.

I've used TT for over 20 years, possibly more. One thing I found this year that wasn't as good as usual was that if I exited the program in the midst of entering information, when I re-opened it, I wasn't at the place I had left off. Occasionally had to go through questions I had already asnwered to get to the right place. I don't remember this ever happening in the past.

On the plus side - I really appreciated the ability to resize each page. On the minus side - there was no consistency from page to page I also wish that your streamlined narrative referred more to the actual form. I file a schedule C and I have my spreadsheets referencing the actual locations they refer to. (Supplies Part ll Line 22, Other costs Part lll, etc) I need to reference the actual form to make sure I'm putting the correct amounts in the correct places.

Terrible software experiences this year and for the first time ever, I had to file an amended return due to a Turbotax error. The instructions for completing the amended return were horrible. I had to research on my own and phone a friend in order to complete a task that shouldn't have been necessary.

I had a much better experience with this year's (2025 tax year) desktop version of Turbo Tax than last year; the 2024 version was glitchy and generated several errors. The 2025 version experience was much closer to the old disc version experience. The interface is good and guides one clearly through the steps. I still don't understand why the state filing fee can't just be added to the up-front price, rather than having to purchase it before e-filing. Turbo Tax is still less expensive than having someone prepare my taxes, but still not that cheap.

I have used your product(s) for many years and. appre ciate their technical proficiency. but most of all your specialists are the best. They are very patient and knowledgeable, understand the product, and make you feel good about yourself- even though most of the time you are the one making the mistakes that they helped correct.
