Everything was good except it wasn't clear that the IRA portion of the other income was for other IRA's. I entered info for our retirement plan (work and private from previous rollovers) resulting in inaccuracies (on the Federal portion) and a penalty on the State portion that I couldn't understand, I did use the online Intuit Tax Expert who spent 2 hours reviewing everything with me and was able to suggest how to fix this error resulting in completion of my taxes and I was able to file at that time. Thanks TT.

I have never had any technical issue with TurboTax in the last 20+ years. TurboTax 2025 unfortunately is total opposite. It asks me to download the latest update every time I launch TurboTax 2025 but every time it just gets stuck. Many times the program won't let me skip downloading the update. I had to download the manual update patch to get around the issue to continue working on my tax. Downloading the state return is the same issue. Somehow Intuit knows about this issue so the California state return is available in my account to be downloaded manually. That solved the state return issue. This download issue also spread to my previous versions of TurboTax. When I tried to launch TurboTax 2024, it forces me to download update but gets stuck as well. Now I cannot view my tax returns from previous years... What happened, TurboTax???

It was a bit difficult to understand the FED 2210AI worksheet but I managed (in particular the Capital Gaines per quarter). My biggest complaint was not being able to get a. IL state refund direct deposited into bank account when I had EFILED last year, but you didn't know it.

Turbo tax definitely makes it so much it easier with the thorough walkthrough to address each filing section. I sincerely appreciate the new feature to tag something if you need to go back and review something and it takes the hassle of trying to find it yourself. I like how I feel a more sense of control of the safety of my privacy especially with sensitive information and know that I don't have to rely on somene else potentially missing something or holding onto my info later. Prayerfully, that turbotax information doesn't end up on dark web anywhere being that any information online puts anyone at risk. I've been using it for years and highly encourage others to do so - especially when I hear the prices that other people pay in-person preparers. Totally a turbo fan and really grateful. Also - I passionately love the ability to bring in prior information from the year before into the current filing. Such a time saver and a relief. Nice touch with the updates too.

Long-time user of TurboTax, but had to use another product for 2024 because TT wouldn't work on my ten-yr-old Mac. Up-to-date again this year and back to TurboTax. I like the guidance and the mostly orderly way TT leads you through the process. Had some difficulties getting charitable contributions from IRAs to register as deductions this year; initially, they reported as taxable additions to the IRAs, but was able to work through the worksheets to straighten that out. Also got an alert that my ex-wife couldn't have the same SSN as my present wife. Well, it's been fifty years since that divorce, and my ex hasn't figured into my tax returns in a long time. There are quirks and oddities with the product every year, but I stick with TurboTax. I feel a lot more confident when TT says my return is error-free and ready to file.

I would have rated it a 5, however at the end, since I had 2 1098s, it pulled up one of the worksheets telling me I had to mark one as the most current. I kept looking at the worksheet and i did not have a spot for this. I finally went back into the original section for 1098s and marked Yes for the most current one. If it had directed me back to that section, I would have saved 30 minutes of trying to figure out what it wanted me to do. Also for payment plans, I wanted to go to IRS to do this but system would not allow me to proceed without submitting the request .

As a CPA I still use Turbo Tax because tax is not my specialty. Turbo has been very useful. Over the years it has made only one error - I have a complicated return and it calculated one late deposit wrong. It was not a big issue and the IRS caught it and sent me the refund without me even asking.

I don't like all the extra fees. It's also difficult to determine which version I need. You should just have one version and do your best for everyone. I would not buy this again except for the ease of transferring my pervious years' taxes. I will probably shop around next year though.

I've used TurboTax for decades and it always has been accurate! I only remember having to contact you twice. Your employees were wonderful both times I called you! I had a compatibility issue once when the Turbo Tax CD would not load into my older computer and your personnel fixed the problem. Your features are perfect and accurate. The online guidance is extremely good. Your software is easy to interface with too!

The desktop version is fine. For the first time I tried the online version. I completed it but was unable to efile it due to an edit that could not be resolved regarding the taxable amount of my Federal pension. I was charged for efiling but was advised I would have to file the return on paper. I started over and was able to efile using the desktop version. Please issue a credit for the online version efile that could not be efiled.
