I have been using the PC version Turbo Tax for years, but this is the first year I tried the macOS version. First, the good. While Turbo Tax has always done a great job of helping to make sense of our Tax laws and codes, there are always confusing questions or prompts that have me making use of the program's extensive help or opening up a browser window to search for answers. This year, I only found myself doing at once - a few of topics that tripped me up last year seemed better worded making it easier to understand what I needed to enter. As for the bad, this years software lacked the polish and presentation I'm used to. Checkboxes that don't line up with the associated choices, the W2 import screen that had a box for last year's income that thought it was a password box (can't see what you type). Nothing too terribly bad - just sloppy. Then the annoying bugs - The option to transfer last year's return didn't work - had to do a web search to find that opening the old return did work. I'm happy, though, that I was able to open files created with the Windows version on my Mac. The second time I opened Turbo Tax it presented window to download the state add-on which didn't work. But opening my return and downloading the state add-on from the main program did work. I got around the issues so I'm happy, but again, it lacks the polish and presentation I'm used to with this product. Is this an ongoing thing with the macOS version?

Your new user interface is totally unacceptable. I will never use Turbotax again unless you go back to the old user interface. You caused me about an additional 10 days to get the data manually into the forms with some belief that the data was somewhat accurate. I'm still not 100% sure. You turned an exceptionally good product into something that is terrible at best. I don't understand why you did such a stupid thing.

Not that I think every return is exactly then same, it would have been helpful to have been advised that some documentation should be saved where it could be easily accessed for the future. I had to go dig up a tax return from 5yrs ago for information. I still don't know if it was correct. That was 5 yrs ago information. Also, I had to buy a new computer to run this year's software. Windows 10 is still being supported. A totally unnecessary expense I cannot deduct.

I've been using this software pretty much since it came out and have enjoyed using it because it's user friendly. This year was a little frustrating. There were some changes that were ok but others not so much. I highly recommend reviewing your filing in printed format before sending it. I found out, had I not, that I would have made quarterly estimated tax payments for 2026. Something I do not want to do, nor need to do. I had to find how to fix it. I think this only affected State taxes though. Additionally, I don't e-file State because I don't want to pay to do it. The option to print just State is not there. You can do it but you have to play around with the end of the process to make it happen. Super frustrating and wasted some of my time. I'll still use it and still recommend it. Just giving others a heads up.

The accuracy was perfect, all imported data was exactly what was shown. This version of TurboTax is the best yet in terms of ease of use. The process to download the software to my machine was a little confusing. Step by step instructions would be useful for those who do not download software frequently. The guidance through each section of the process is excellent and facilitates minimizing taxes due. The only reason I did not give five stars was because there were numerous times the software was "Not Responding" taking several minutes to come back.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and have never had any issues with the software. I tried the Online version for my own taxes and didn't like it as much as the desktop version. I used the desktop version for my exe's taxes and it was what I have been used to for years, so I will probably stick with it in the future.

I have used Turbo tax since 1989 ( I think). Prior to that, I manually completed the taxes. I have had the learning curve and can't ever imagine that I won't use Turbo tax. I think it is a great product and extremely helpful. Usually but not always am able to find the answers I need. I would like access for help. This year my problem was with the foreign tax credit on investments through Fidelity.

I use TurboTax every year. I only have SSA income, IRA redemptions, and some simple dividends and capital gains. In addition, I file my taxes using the standard deduction. Finally, I have filed my own taxes for many years. I am very comfortable filing on my own without assistance. For tax year 2025, I used the Windows 11 desktop version of TurboTax Deluxe.

I may be older than 65 but I hate the SR form. There is no option to avoid it. I want to enter dollars AND CENTS and not have my entries rounded. There is no option to allow that. I don't give a hoot what the IRS wants; this is for my record. The interface stinks. Huge "continue" buttons with microscopic option selections. No way to avoid "worksheets" and just put data where I want it. Printing insists on wasting paper on stuff that doesn't get filed. But I won't file your printouts because you suppress cents.

I had no problem, but new users were confused by online vs. desktop. Online caused confusion, it didn't appear that the 5 individuals stated that could use software was not working for them. It eventually worked itself out., but through tril & error frustration.
