Did the job, Annoying features.

It mostly was simple and good, but the nags for upsells are slightly annoying. A few prompts were also slightly confusing but thankfully I ran into no issues. forcing windows 11 though on it's own deducts a star regardless, since I had to wipe my computer just to file my taxes. Better than being completely forced online or on a subscription. (which is being pushed too)

Garbage

you suck - every year I buy this product and every year there is something your software misses when I e file. I get rejected then try to fix the problem. Your product is garbage. Well shame on me for buying it again. I will not file with Turbo tax ever again.

It's a fail this year after decades.

I'm so frustrated that next year I'll be looking for another product. It keeps asking if I want to e file state return when I owe $23. Why would I want spend an extra $25 to pay $23? When I get to the end it says I haven't selected anything to file.....I don't want to e file. I just want to mail it in, yet there is no instructions as to what to print and what to include. I had to go outside of TT and google it. I could have done ten returns for the time it took trying to get it to answer a simple question.

Product went downhill this year.

Got tired of seeing up selling attempts. Why would I need to speak to a professional when the software is supposed to walk me through the process. It seems as though the interface was different this year. I have used this product many times and do not remember it being so confusing and difficult. The computer I normally used in the past still have Windows 10, so I had to switch to a different computer and start all my info from scratch.

Turbo Tax too dumbed down to be helpful

The UI increasingly the last few years but especially 2025 is getting difficult to follow, especially as regards to certain incomes and deductions. Example 1099-DIV, one wishes the same investments reported on the same line with explanation but especially if one allows automatic download it creates "new entries" that are not well detailed. Also the option to go form by form on certain things like business expenses and certain costs just is difficult to get to and find. Not liking this app at all anymore. Used to love it.

Really buggy this year

2025 Turbo Tax was very buggy. Normally Turbo tax is the most bug-free and beautifully executed software so this is disappointing. * I installed it and it failed to run so I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to get it to work. * It kept asking me to fill out fields for a child tax credit that did not come close to applying to me. * There were many other bugs. At one point I had to end the program with Task manager and restart it.

I made it through it

Please knock it off with the hidden fees, constant updates and installations that kept interrupting my filing process and changing my numbers, and advertisements on every video I watch or tucked between the pages of every file. I don't want to have to explain things I don't remember doing and now isn't the time to induce me to make purchases--I'm paying my taxes! I need to see that I'm saving money or getting some back! Otherwise, thank you, this was easier and cheaper than hiring someone.

Expensive and no longer allows donation estimates

You charge too much money for your product. I have been a faithful TaurboTax user for the last 21 years. The removal of "It's Deductible" from your product has given me a strong desire to look elswhere. It was a terrible change of direction and whomever decided that should no longer be in charge of anything. You also charge for filing more than one state tax. When I buy your product for my household, ALL members of the household should be able to file for the original price of the product. Greedy management.

Product could be improved

I have been using Turbo-Tax software for a couple of decades. It is very useful but each year there have been glitches that could be fixed for the future but rarely are. For example, the interest on US Government Securities portion of mutual funds have always been reported as a percentage (BY T. Rowe Price, Fidelity, Schwab etc..), Turbo tax wants it to be entered as a dollar amount, necessitating calculations outside the software. Other tax software, such as H&R Block, do ask for the information as a percentage--making it straight forward to enter the data. Another issue this year, was that TT wanted us to file our State Taxes by paper --since our individual filing status for the state was different. We needed to prepare two Mock Federal returns etc--which is fine. Finally for printing and filing, TT was not clear about which Federal return to attach. The built in help was also not useful. A google search gave the answer. Another case of internal inconsistency was that--although TT insisted that we file the state taxes by paper, at later stages it kept asking whether we wanted to e-file. Even now the final file looks incomplete since there was no way to indicate that the paper copies have already been filed for the state....

Some suggestions to improve

Request to add an option to input all 1099-B transactions in a table instead of having to do them one at a time via three screens. Also please dial down on the onerous requirements for signing in, nags for extra products, and in general monopolistic behavior.
