TurboTax SW is getting very close to perfection!

You might want to user a precise word when instructing a action. For example: "Enter you last year AGI". If the current time is March 2026 and the user was filing his return. The words "last year" could be understood as 2025 and/or 2024 AGI figure. Thank you for asking for a review.

Data mining

Have to pay late fees for State TAX. TT asked to fill in data from 2024 file, to accomplish that, had to open 2024 TT State Tax file. TT was not able to obtain data itself, without my direct input! Could not cut & paste from .pdf file to 2025 State file. Of course I am lazy but TT should be able to obtain data from past TT 2024 file.

Investment Download Guidance Needed

During the process of downloading information from investment companies, a screen came up that the connection had been made. There was nothing on that screen to tell me what to do next. I called customer service, and Ralph told me to just click on the Turbo Tax icon in the task bar and it would go to a screen that showed that the download had been completed. It would have been helpful if that instruction appeared on the screen that said the connection had been made.

Small Improvements wanted

I have used you for more than 25 years. There are still a few things to improve. In general, inputting directing from the forms received from Payors would be nice, such as 1095C and 5498-SA. Blocking the 8949 input was not helpful. I helped someone with your on-line system. I did not find it friendly. I will stick with Deluxe version, which has served me well.

Need Fixes to make it easier to use

It is too difficult to go thru the filing steps. They repeat themselves, like the state drivers license number. And the state PIN shows once and we are not tld to write it down, Not sure where it resides to go back to get it. It was not clear that the fee to take the cost our of the federal refund was much higher than paying by credit card. The uploading of docs needs a better interface. When I click on that step ther e shold be a checklist of what I can download so when I go back a month or so later I can pick another one that is available. Too hard to go back later and figure out how dowload a W2 or 1099.

Turbotax is now charging a processing fee

After you fill out the software that you purchase and spend time filling out. The software said I had to pay a $40 processing fee. I chose to have it taken out of the refund and then it says in the consent form that you have to pay a $25 processing fee for the $40 processing fee.

Some suggestions to improve

Request to add an option to input all 1099-B transactions in a table instead of having to do them one at a time via three screens. Also please dial down on the onerous requirements for signing in, nags for extra products, and in general monopolistic behavior.

No longer awesome

I am extremely disappointed that TurboTax discontinued It's Deductible...particularly mid-year. This made completing the federal tax return input extremely difficult. Additionally, I was not allowed to upload It's Deductible information that I had already entered into that software between January and October. I may consider changing to H & R Block in the future.

Problem with inputting credit card information

You have a major problem with your credit card inputting for the state return. The vertical dropdown box of the month of expiration only goes from 1 to 11. My credit card expires on month 12. And I cant see the 12 to select it. I can't even type the 12, since your program forces me to use the dropdown box which does not show the 12 option. And I cannot resize my window to see the 12. I had to use another credit card that had a non month 12 expiration date, which is silly!!!!

Canadian Pension

What is this ongoing issue with the "Canadian Pension Plan" that was never input through the menu but keeps showing up on the 1099 R page. It will not go away cannot delete. Followed online advice of other individuals to clear out the issue to no avail. THIS NEEDS TO FIXED!!!!
