TurboTax is easy to use. Its direct, easy language, easy to understand what information they're looking for, they go over everything several times if that's comfortable for you, and you can pause any time you wish and you can feel assured everything will return without any problems. The best! Never had any problems using this program.

Have been using the product for about 20 years and feel comfortable with it. However I tried to use the online version as suggested, but was not able to resolve the "errors" it was presenting to me (could not find how to get to the forms directly ?). So I had to start over again with the desktop version and successfully filed the return.

Glad that a downloadable version was still available. Uncomfortable with the strong push toward online software; why ask so many repeated times? Seems like an additional privacy risk given the way the gov has allowed unauthorized access to citizen data. Was disappointed that Windows compatibility required an upgraded computer. With the ability to import last year's filing, it's the easiest way to do taxes on our own.

Overall pretty good but unfortunately Turbo Tax failed to submit my returns because it needed an update.. It should have checked this before it to me to the final steps of entering ID and account info..I had to exit, download the updates, and start the final steps again. Also it des not always remember previous selections that you make. For instance when calculating mortgage interest it kept defaulting my HELOC to a refi when I was double checking my numbers for accuracy. i

I've used TurboTax for years to complete my tax returns, however I was somewhat surprised by a few things toward the end of the process. They are as follows: 1) The AGI question that comes up when e-filing the Federal Tax Return should NOT have a figure from the prior year tax filing vs. the CURRENT year's tax filing. There is a reference in the guidance for "last years tax return AGI" (or sim) which I found confusing . . last year as in the 2024 Tax Filing, or the 2025 AGI listed on Page 1 of 1 of the current tax filing. The fact that TurboTax did not automatically fill this in with the current information (vs. prior year's tax filing) made it very confusing IMO. You should update the guidance language and fill in the default AGI on the current tax year filing. 2) The fact that the TurboTax purchase does not include the One State e-file is not clear up front, making the 'surprise' at the end of the process equates to a restaurant including a tip in the bill for dinner but not clearly stating such. Just a bad reflection on an otherwise smooth, detailed exercise. Do better! 3) The payment process for the EXTRA $ 25 "State e-file" is repetitive to info previously entered into Intuit's TurboTax purchase . . forcing the Customer to re-enter all our information again when the Name/Address is already part of the filing (and original purchase of 2025 TurboTax Deluxe). Unnecessary redundancy. In closing, I've always preferred to purchase the product in retail locations for record purposes . . but TurboTax was nowhere to be found, only Tax Act and H&R Block. Why??

I found this years confusing. I struggled with the Medical part. When you turn 65 thru part of a year it needs to be a drop down whether this causes a problem or penalty. If I didn't have to use Cov Ca all year I should not be penalized the cost all year or even based on a full year income. That part was hard to understand. Property taxes also most pay a year but it is over a 2 year period. Like July 25 to July 26, yet your instructions don't address that like should I divide in half? Then also I do my mom's returns and since she never owes happy to use Efile, i do not want to efile State since cost $25 for no refund is stupid. I click free efile for feds but then it talks about cost for state and I am afraid if I click yes for efile feds I am going to get stuck paying to efile state when I do not want to. Clear that part up with options to efile only one.

This year I found the program a little less user-friendly than in the past. I was still able to get my taxes done. I like the fact that the program checks for accuracy. That feature is very reassuring. I recommended this program to a friend 2 years ago. She's still using it.

I like the walk-through approach even though this is 3rd or 4th year where we only get the standard deduction. The efile screen still hasn't been formatted to fit the screen so I can't click on continue without first making the taskbar disappear. TY 2024 had the same problem. When attempting to efile - received another error - this time it asked for my county?? Why couldn't Intuit pull this automatically from the zip code?

Turbo tax was easy to use. It uploaded the information from my 2024 tax return accurately so inputting the information for 2025 was super fast. The interface for uploading my state tax return was perfect and made completion of my state taxes very fast. Filing both my Federal and State returns via the E-file interface worked seamlessly and quick. Keep up the good job! The product worked great.

entering 1099 forms, especially from brokerage houses, is cumbersome. I also ran into a problem entering 1099R form. A state distribution amount was not shown on the 1099R but NYS makes me fill it in at filing. This is a situation that should have been caught on the state review. Also the interview process is just long!
