My wife and I decided to file our own taxes this year instead of paying someone $350 to do what we can do ourselves. I was very skeptical about how easy the process would be because it just seemed like I couldn't find anyone that currently uses this product. After purchasing it and starting our taxes, I stared to ear about a lot of families that use TurboTax and all the stories were positive. The process was very easy and my wife and I will be fling our own taxes using TurboTax moving forward.

I didn't like the itemized deduction section this time. There was no longer the assistance like last time where there's a list of items with the values and you can click on all the items and it calculates the total amount for you. This time I had to separate each item and treat it like a separate donation even though the date and charity were the same. It took much longer to complete this section of the form. Was not happy at all with this.

Nice software, but too many upcharges. If I'm paying for "with State" it should include everything the state needs. Having to pay extra for efile is ridiculous in this time of fraud. My $55 ended up costing me $140. Seems kind of bait-and-switch to me

I realize you are trying to make your product user-friendly even for those who do not have a strong enough understanding of tax law to do their own returns, but I am ery disappointed in how you have programmed investment security sales for Schedule D and Form 8949. Step-By-Step groups by broker without allowing one to select covered/noncovered or other categories. It coded all my sales as F, which makes no sense. I changed the code in forms, but the change would not flow through to Forms 8949 and Schedule D properly.I had to delete everything and re-enter in forms. And that input screen is not-user friendly at all. Also, there is no reason to reduce private activity bond interest income on Form 6251. I had to override that number.

I've been using TurboTax for years but it still has a ways to go in helping people when they are busy and going back and forth. Everything is so compartmentalized, it's hard to get from one place to another without being forced to go back over everything. A nice outline to click on an area to help get you to where you want to go would be nice.

I've used Turbo Tax for at least 10 years. once I got into the down load version. it returned to be my old friend. Why did I have to have Windows 11. I hate Windows 11! I worked very closely with Bill and Paul to bring Windows 1 - 7 to market. (I was IBM's software product manager.) Listen to your users!!

I'm a TT user for decades. Some truly useful features seem to be discontinued, or are extremely hard to find. i ended up using Gemeni AI to find things. - no way to do a trace back from problematic number to where it was changeable input; cause me couple hours' work - unclear how to differentiate forms from worksheet-forms combinations; in older TT versions, I could easily relate the questions and boxes to the specific line on the 1040, so I could directly fill out 80% of questions/data and concentrate onf the rest using what were better explanations - generally it seems latest TT has minimal explations; e.g. different between HSA, MSA, and TSA, which are very different but poorly explained; I wasted hours trying to get 1099-SA for my FSA until I finally found from FSA company that no 1099's are provided or needed for FSA's

State return form will not display the TC-40 sheet without Adobe Reader. It will display with Adobe. However, when you try to print the state return, you cannot print the return because "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem." You can see the page but cannot actually print the page.

Why wouldn't the TurboTax 2025 version transfer my TurboTax 2024 past year information? The comments was that "the file was too large" for the TurboTax 2024 past year information; however, the document was only 8.9 MB in size. This forced me to enter in my 2024 information directly into my 2025 TurboTax forms, which was a three hour operation.
