I could not file my Minnnesota Tax Return electronically because of an error in the TurboTax software; I had to mail it with an explanation of the problem to Minnesota Revenue. TurboTax introduced a manual form that kept the return erroring out with no way to fix the problem. The software misshandled my Minnesota withheld amounts on the 1099-R documents.

I have been using turbo tax for years and promote others to use it as well, it is easy to use, very accurate and user friendly. Turbo tax is the greatest product that guides you through every step of the process. I recommend those who are new to Turbo tax to use the guide me feature and you can't go wrong. Take advantage of the help features too, very helpful! Keep up the good work Turbo Tax!

I have used Turbo-Tax for at least 15 years and have always been satisfied. I never have been audited nor sent notice of an error. I did not use the tax advice feature but I did use the help desk to fix an loading error. Young lady that helped was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Had a very nice conversation as we waited for the fix to be implemented.

When entering information from a 1099-MISC, you need to reword the questions as the reason for the 1099-MISC was for observation from the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation. They are not an employer; the income was not for self-employed person this was general income.

It takes me 2 days to get turbo tax loaded and operating on a computer. It takes me 5 to 8 hours to do my taxes using it. It's insistence on using some windows OS I do not have in my house, nor will I buy makes the product almost worthless IMHO. Surely your intent forcing users to use "latest supported versions of windows" isn't to drive users away, or is it? I'm tired of the headaches, so this is likely the last time I will ever use a turbo tax product, unless by some miracle you all actually start listening to your customers, and stop blocking your software from running on all of our computers. I used turbo tax for more than 10 years on win7, which to this day still works perfectly. But now it seems like every year i need to upgrade again, just to use this. No Thanks.

Easy and consistent interface. It's why I'm willing to pay extra for TurboTax. A really nice feature wold be the ability to schedule any required quarterly payments. When I used an accountant, they would automatically pay the fees on the required dates.

The Mac version is missing some basic functionality. When entering charitable contributions, the column for the amount is not wide enough and the list of organizations cannot be sorted alphabetically. When transmitting the returns electronically, the program does not automatically save the return so when you exit as suggested a later log back in - the program responds it is ready to file the returns.

The Donation section for household and clothing items offered very poor assistance with pricing. Prior years' Turbo Tax offered pulldown menus that listed categories which could be selected and provided estimated costs. We would definitely like to have that type of menu structure in future years.

Every year I have to override one cell to file a proper return. As a result, I have to mail a hard copy. I think I should be able to e-file whatever form I want. If I need to sign a waiver of some sort, then include the reurmn to do so in the program, and e me e-file.

The incessant requests for upcharges, extra cost features, state e-filing fees, etc. etc. is excruciating. And now Intuit will force yet another charge to Premium if I want to download 1099 forms from financial firms. I will be looking at other software next year.
