This edition was "putzy" in that I had to go back several times to find a way to get it to open lines requiring entry of items like interest statements, etc. And once again - and for the last time - It could not transfer last years info to this year's form. After using Turbo Tax for around 30 years, I'm going to find a different vendor net year that will hopefully be easier to work with year over year. Very disappointed!

Worked as always!. However, big negative was that I wish there would have been some sort of indication that we were getting the $6000 social security deduction for my wife who is 65. I had to google/AI if the deduction was baked into the program and just not visible. Google/AI said it was, which we expected as our tax bill was much better than last years. It's like they don't want Trump's BBB to get any credit for the tax relief.

Overall, good software. W-2 from different states, should isolate states so that e-filing isn't a conflict when 1st state doesn't accept values from another 2nd state which has no bearing on actual state filing. For instance, NY state e-filing wouldn't allow values from a ONLY NJ W-2.

why does my free 5 efile federal returns keep asking me to pay for them??? i know i have to pay state, but not FEDERAL. this is annoying and may be the last year for me on Turbo Tax after all these years since they it was introduced. It's beyond annoying and frustrating. now i have to yet call again and have TT do something at your end with my license number to fix the problem.

Turbo Tax Online was too complicated and tedious. After We were able to complete the forms; We were notified that we could not e-file because our 2924 tax e-file had not been accepted. This was an error we could not get past. We continued filing with the desktop version, we were able to report last year's AGI and our filing was accepted.

I was filing my granddaughter's tax return, which had a state (Minnesota) return. I purchased the Turbo Tax program at a local retail store with a $10 rebate for filing my taxes and one free state tax return. When I went to e-file her return (before filing my own return) not only did charge $25 for the Minnesota state return, it applied my rebate, resulting in a $15 charge placed against her refund.

I've used TurboTax for a long time, so is easy to keep using it each year. I also like that I can use it for filing five federal returns which covers my family. I did not like that it no longer covers the cost of one state return. Also, the State return is a bit wonky in how it works compared to the Federal return since you always have to proceed through the entire questionnaire every time you edit the return.

Had a little trouble getting my efile submitted in getting my payment that successfully went through, recognized by my downloaded TurboTax Deluxe software and then once excepted was told that I had to wait one hour and try submitting the efile returns again. Everything finally through once I waited and logged back in without any additional issues.

Used web version of turbo tax last year(2024). Used local install (windows) version for filing 2025. I switched back to the local install because the web version was full of bait and switch pricing. And other lame issues. No useful documents could be found on Intuits website/portal/account (my account) for tax year 2024. Zero. Long story short I now have to mail both federal and state instead of E file. Is the dev team for the web version of turbo tax still run by a bunch of fourth graders?

The dividends and interest sections are much more cumbersome than in prior years.I used to be able to click the dividends once, then I would stay in that section and add the number of payees. Now Its going back to the main screen for each one. The estimated tax calculation is clumsy.It would be nice if you could have the actual numbers from the current year listed in each category to help you estimate 2026
