Used to love this program, but I'm already looking for an alternative for next year. No CD is a pain - hate having to download software, struggled to view last years file because I couldn't get logged in to the Intuit account, the limited filings is a real disappoint - no longer worth the effort, have 2 different Intuit accounts for the multiple years which you wont let me combine. Overall, this has been an awful tax filing experience.

Although Turbo Tax generally works well, this year (tax year 2025) I found it unacceptable that the procedures for filing Federal Form 5695 were not available until 1/29/2026, 3-4 days after the IRS began accepting returns. During this time I kept receiving emails from Turbo Tax stating that the form was ready to use with step-by-step instructions, but these emails were incorrect. Turbo Tax needs to be fully functional when its customers are ready to use it. The fact that it wasn't ready on time, even though it claimed it was ready, has reduced my confidence level in your software.

After 25 years I had a serious problem with downloading information from investment/financial institutions, because incompatibility with Norton. I had two calls with your experts. Both of the experts were very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. The first one thought she had fixed it, but the next day it was blocked from completing because the same compatibility problem. It was resolved, but it required one of your experts talking to another expert to finally solve the problem. They were all very pleasant to deal with, but it required being on the phone for a total of almost two hours.

I have used your tax software for 21 years and never have had an issue with my filings. Always been easy to use and file. No mistakes have ever been found. I have two computers and when I first tried to download on a system that was using 13.7 the software would not work as the OS had to be newer. So I had to download again on higher OS system.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had my tax return rejected due to missing data. Why wasn't it caught the first time? And what am I paying for if not convenience and accuracy? I was also charged twice for my state taxes. Once for $48, once for $25. It's high time we shut businesses down like yours that prey on consumers. Over $100 to have taxes done inaccurately.

I feel that Turbo Tax is overpriced, but I keep using because it is so easy to bring in all the information from last year. However, Microsoft refused to update my old desktop to Windows 11, so I had to buy a new machine. Even though I copied over last year's return, it would not import it. So what would be a five star review, which becomes 4 star due to price, becomes 3 star because I had to retype a bunch of stuff that I already typed last year.

We had some trouble entering our RMD information. The tax worksheet entries did not separate the RMD that we received from the portion that we donated to charity. It recorded the total RMD twice making it look like we should have taken out twice as much as we did. We also had trouble transmitting our returns with the option of deducting the state tax e-filing fee from our refund. We were only able to do so when we paid the fee with a credit card.

The program was extremely difficult because the password chain required was hard to find. I couldn't find mine. I had to install without it, but the instructions do not tell you how to do that. Additionally, it would not transfer the information from last year's return. I finally opened last year's app, which showed an update available, updated the app, opened the return, and saved. After that the information transferred. How are users supposed to know to reopen the prior year's application to check for updates when the return was filed a year ago. This year's edition was not very user friendly.

My return got rejected. Why? It was because I was missing my IP PIN. There is a reason I do the step-by-step filing, so I don't miss inputting any information. ADD IT IN! I need to be able to file my taxes in period of time and not have to go in again to "correct it". I might as well do free file with the IRS. What is the point of your product.

I've used TurboTax and other software intermittently in recent years. TurboTax's step-by-step guidance is the best of any product I've tried. I do wish however, that I did not have to buy two separate versions to do my personal and partnership returns.
