Data validation issue and form import issue...Import of 1099-DIV had errors with addresses that were not caught until final review and took two reviews to catch them all -- one was a checkbox not filled and then recipient street and city were not filled in. There was data in the field all x'd out so could not tell what it was but just entered street and city. Even though city was telling me initially it also needed at least 1 letter. Just hope it caught everything and doesn't get rejected.

I've used TurboTax for more than a decade. It's Deductible was removed in October with no timely notification so that I could maintain alternative records for multiple charitable contributions throughout the year. That feature was the main reason that I use TurboTax since our returns are not overly complicated. So I do not believe that I will use TurboTax in the future.

I've been a TurboTax user for over 35 years! My most helpful year was when I moved to New York State and had to prepare returns for myself and for my two children who had trust accounts. That required producing three federal returns, three state returns for Michigan, and returns for New York State and New York City. I was awash in tax forms that year. As a retiree, I am faced with the sometimes difficult task of preparing estimated taxes. Some mutual funds do not make capital gains payouts until December, and the amount of said payments are usually unknown until they are paid in December. Yet, the estimated tax features in Turbo Tax have become sparser and sparser, harder to find in the product, and entirely inadequate. Instead, estimated tax calculations and forms seem to be simply populated with the most recent year's data without allowing any capability to change elements making up one's adjusted gross income. Please address this shortfall.

Over the years I've discovered Turbo Tax is easy to use and accurate. Just remember to read the questions carefully and answer honestly. This software is compatible with my life style and the features it offers combined with the guidance provided is worth the minor investment to pay for the software. I use a MacBook Pro and the interface worked perfectly.

I purchased TurboTax deluxe 2025 this year and it was an online version only. I was very disappointed with it. I just didn't feel comfortable with it. I have been using TurboTax desktop version since the early 1990's. I've been very satisfied with the desktop version. So, I ordered another TurboTax deluxe 2025 desktop version. Please keep the desktop version for your (senior) customers.

I have a bad experience with TurboTax Deluxe this year. The interface seems clumsy unlike previous versions. Too many up selling. Pushing users to the online version is a no no for me. And it appears to have less functions compared to previous years.

Michelle had the patience of a saint. She researched how to assist me with my Mac computer before I was able to screen share. She was able to get me back into the software to make corrections and stayed with me until it was time for me to file my return. She was so polite and reassured she could help me.

I had trouble with Turbotax and the very beginning and at the very end of the process. In between it was vey user friendly and helpful - I particularly liked the examples & sample situations to help guide me. At the beginning I couldn't even create an account - because evidently the software picked up a 30 plus year old account that used my same email ! I had to call live support to figure out how to even get started.... Then at the end of the process - I wanted to e-file my Federal return (refund to me) to get it faster - so I could pay for my State return (I owed money) paper file it later closer to the due date of April 15th. But the software options didn't match / work to do this without me calling live support again to sort it out & trick the software options to do it... very frustrating at the beginning and end of the process.

Attempting to file an amended return is confusing and frustrating. I made changes to my 2025 file after my federal refund was received but before 1040X forms were available. Now that the forms are available, TurboTax doesn't detect a change. I attempted to save a copy with the old amounts to start over but TurboTax hung on to the previous attempt to amend. There seems to be no way to straighten it out. In addition the initial printed instructions stated that I had to mail a check, then later stated that I could e-file the amendment. Now I'm concerned that the amendment will get rejected if I e-file.

I have been quite happy with the Turbo Tax software or download for many years. It's a step-by-step process or guide to complete the necessary taxes we have to file. It's much easier than visiting the library to obtain the forms for 540 and 1040 to follow painstakingly slow line-by-line reading.
