The features are fine; they make it easy to file taxes. There was a glitch in the program. The program told me that the transmission did not go through, but when I checked, it had gone through and I got a confirmation. You need to work on this glitch.

I've used TurboTax each year for more than 20 years. It gets the job done for me. I think some of my confusion each year is just the tax code itself and not so much TurboTax - though sometimes TurboTax doesn't give enough explanation to help clarify what is needed. This year the look was a little different and took some getting used to and added to the initial confusion. The worst part of this year was the removal of ItsDeductable which I rely heavily upon for my deductions. Having to find an alternative and re-enter all of my charitable contributions over was a royal pain and slowed down the whole process. I'll keep using TurboTax since I'm very used to it even though they changed it a little this year.

Filing Wisconsin was frustrating - rejected multiple times before digging around on turbo tax to find out that updates to my state tax filing would be available on turbo tax in 5 days. it would have been helpful if turbo tax had sent a message about this instead of me having to dig to find it.

Software does not check Schwab/Fidelity for 1099 info. It puts an arbitrary date they say comes from these companies and won't go out to check and see if the documents are ready. Examples this year from both companies where documents were available and TurboTax message said they wouldn't be ready until a future date. This is frustrating and is the reason for a rating of 2

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I can follow along and figure out almost everything I need to complete our taxes. If I have a question, I can usually click on the suggestion and figure it out. I will continue to use Turbo Tax because it is easy to do. The helpful guides are wonderful because they explain the situation. Thank you Turbo Tax.

You have made it very difficult to add the type of income retirees have, and even harder to edit or correct that info manually once you have attempted to download it directly. Also having estimated taxes calculated is harder to get right when i don't have w2s. and you used to provide a side by side comparison page of prior and current tax year - now gone. I wish i knew how non useful the changes were going to be before i paid for this! I used to be a 5 star rater, now next year i will look for other options

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years. I've had no issues with your software except the past few years. I file and select review taxes for errors, and it always says that no errors can be found only to receive an email that says my returns have been rejected! Now I can't seem to recall the reasons for past return rejections but on this year return it says that the reason for the rejection was that I didn't put in my IP Pin. I know that I did this for both my wife and myself, but it was still rejected. I used the same 5-digit pin that I've been using for the past years. So, in the action email it says the following: Once you’ve opened your return in TurboTax, the details about what needs updating will be displayed and that TurboTax will walk me through on how to correct the issue. Well, I did this and there was nothing about what needed to be updated. So, I had to redownload my return onto TurboTax and file an amendment. Why does this happen??? When you review a return for errors this should have been found and could have easily been correct before e filing!

I have always liked turbo tax. However, couple opportunities for improvement: I had 1099R that included a distribution AND a Roth conversion. I had to manually split that 1099R into two 1099Rs so that my Michigan tax return processed correctly (it tried to report all of original 1099R as a Roth conversion. Also, most dialog screens have a show more info for line item entries - but missing on some screens - this was problematic for reporting content from my schedule K-1.

After having accountants sit in front of their computer to do my taxes I realized that I could do it for a lot less money by using Turbo Tax. I actually see no difference than sitting in front of an accountant. Except for the fact I can do my taxes in my pajamas!

I have used TurboTax for Probably 25 to 30 years now. Easy to use and always accurate. I used to have my accountant do my taxes. He recommended I do my own with TurboTax. The reason is the hardest part of tax preparation is organizing your records. Entering the information into the tax program is the easy part. I have always been very organized in my record keeping. Any questions I have are easily answered by the software or TurboTax's help community.
