Excellent guidance

I've used TurboTax and other software intermittently in recent years. TurboTax's step-by-step guidance is the best of any product I've tried. I do wish however, that I did not have to buy two separate versions to do my personal and partnership returns.

TurboTax software guidance and general format.

The only 2 good things I experienced with this year's software was the help I received from Intruit's helpful agent when I could not get a saved copy of what I had entered during my initial input of personal data and income. He helped me very much cause I was about to junk the software and go to some other vendor of tax software. The second good area was the listing of my charities that I contributed to in 2024 which helped me in that I didn't have to enter all my charity organizations. Previous software asked proper and easy questions, but not this new software. Please go back to 2024's software.

Fix your updates!

TurboTax has always been great. This year your updates do not work requiring me to unhook from my internet to continue. In looking online it appears that this is a problem for many if not all users. I have a current computer with Windows 11 but get a failed update every time.

Long Time User with no plan to change

I'm very fond of TurboTax it works so well I've used it for several years and I really have no complaints I do not like the online version at all and I prefer to use the version that's downloaded to my computer every year it works well for me it always has and I do not want to change to the online version I wish you wouldn't keep trying to get me to do that every time I sign in

Why has Turbo Tax become so bad!!

I cannot understand why Turbo Tax has become so poor in the income section of !099 R. The program is unable to understant the entries and worse than that doubled my RMD so that I had a $23,000 prenalty for not withdrawing the required aount! I had withdrawn the exact amount from my IRA that was required but the only thing I could do was to start all over. After many hours of wasted time I was able to finish 1040 correctly and my state taxes. I have used Turbo tax since 1999 and this was the worst year with the program. I purchased the Deluxe and I prefer to use the Desktop version. The 2024 program had a few glitches with the RMD issue but nothing like the 2025. I waited until late February to start my taxes because I wanted all the updates to be in and take effect. Obviously I did not wait longenough. I will not buy Turbo Tax new year.

Blessing in disguise

My experience was awesome. My nightmare turned into a blessing because I had an excellent Trained professional who guided me for over a long time, was extremely patient with me and solved my issue with grace and compassion. I will research to see if i can find her name. She deserves a raise...

Turbo Tax sucked!

This was the 1st time Turbo Tax was not so good. At the end of filling it did not wanna to allow entering the credit card number. Afterwards it did not let me submit the Federal tax. It was always pointing to the same question. The "Tax-exempt interest" from last years tax (2024). Your explanation about it was very poor and cost me a lot of money, because it was not accepting the values I had entered. So, I had to change it to a value ($) that I picked up from a the tax returned of last year from (2a and 2b). Then it accepted it. In other words it sucked. The imports did not work either. It was a very bad software.

2025 Turbo Tax has some glitches

Software had glitches. Transferred donations from 2024 would not allow entries for 2025. I had to reenter all donations information. Created alot of frustration until I figured it out. Card payment for filing state would not allow me to select 12th month. I was able to complete using another card that had 4th month. Created alot of frustration until I figured it out. Never had issues in the past 20+ years.

User Interface no good!

1. This year come across strange thing that the edit and delete icons did not show up sometimes. This happened to both Unemployment 1099-G and Retirement 1099-R interface. You need to exit and reload, but not always get back these two icons! 2. After complete entering 1099-INT, 10-99-DIV, 1099-B data, the interface always go back to the beginning of the first 1099 form. Why cannot go back where it come from. This apply to doing review.

hit a snag

Overall your city tax interface is weak. Also, I am stuck in a do-loop where i get a message: Hmm, looks like we hit a snag. We recommend you revisit your last topic to make sure it is correct. I did that and it won't let me go past it. Very frustrating
