Chronic persistent longstanding window size issue

On my Mac I experience the same interface issue every year I do not understand why you have not fixed it. The payment page for a second state return does not show the top of the form where the name is entered. This means that the order is not accepted. I thought it was a Mac window maximize/minimize issue. It is not. It is a TurboTax window size problem. You need to fix it. PLEASE! The workaround comes from a 2019 post on your community site: move the dock to vertical. It is a TurboTax window size problem. You need to fix it. PLEASE!

TurboTax's error review process needs work

The desktop version was not as easy as the online version that I used for my own taxes. Specifically, during the review phase, when it finds errors, TT will ask for information from some obscure form without any context (it shows only a field in isolation). Twice I had to google the name of the form and the field to determine what to enter. This is a waste of time. Why not take me to the actual form so I can see what the field and error is about?

Smart Check Error reporting

Upon completing my return an error was generated when running Smart Check function. Necessitated a call to Intuit. Operator (Regina) reviewed the issue and after brief review offered suggestion that ultimately resolved the problem. Appeared to be a software glitch which was resolved (Form 1099-R) by additionally entering the Gross Distribution amount into box 16 to override the error.

Turbo tax was great's for Ten years, but the last

Well I try to send my taxes by e-file and they rejected it saying they needed my wife Ruth AGI. No where did your program ask me for my wife AGI. So why do they need it, if they don't ask. And why did they want my wife AGI when we are filling as joint filling. I put my wife and I AGI in the space from my 2024 tax return that I did on Turbo Tax program, but they still rejected it! don't understand. You need to fix it for me.

Unnecessarily Frustrating

There is always something. Most years an error pops up and says Line xx needs information. However the pop-up gives mo information as o what is needed on what form for what reason! That did not happen this year (yay!). Instead, it played games at filing time. I chose e-filing for Federal, but chose not to e-file state since paying $25 to get a $50 return more quickly is silly. The app gave no option for printing the state return! After multiple cycles back thru it, and checking on the Help web pages, I found no answer. Finally I backed up and said I was going to file my FEDERAL by mail. That finally got me a prompt to print my State for filing by mail! Why hide it?

4 STARS 1ST TIME EVER; NO APP USE IF YOU DO ONLINE

USED IT NOW FOR SO MANY YEARS. THIS YEAR I WENT TO DO IT ONLINE VS THE APP ON MY IPAD AND THEY DON'T SEEM TO TALK TO ME ON THE APP NOW? YET MY INFO CAME IN FROM LAST YEAR.. WHY WOULD THE APP NOT PULL UP THE NEW RETURN. VERY INCONVENIENT. DO BETTER. NO REASON FOR THE DISCONNECT TO THE TURBOTAX APP. TSK TSK

program does not work properly on windows 11

I had numerous problems with using your tax program. When i download it on my main computer it worked for one day and then went to error code. I was able to download it on my laptop which has windows 11 just like my main computer and it worked just fine. This a problem because I talked to other people who had the same problem. You need to get your act together. It also destroyed the last three years of my taxes on my main computer.

False Advertising

One state return was included with the price of the software. I had to exit the program when I was not completely finished with my state return. The next day when I opened my state return, finished it and was then ready to file my taxes, the software considered the re-opening my state return as a second state return and I had to pay $25 to file my state return even though one state filing was included with the original purchase of the software.

Each Years Gets More Cumbersome

I've changed my review to 1 star - My return was continually rejected bc apparently I don't know how to cut & past our AGI from our 2024 return. I asked Intuit's AI chatbot which checked and said our return had not been rejected. I went to Turbo Tax and checked the status of the return and it still came up as Rejected. I really didn't want to mail our return, but finally gave up bc I'd spent collectively at least 2-3 hrs trying to get it submitted electronically. The 1st time I used Turbo Tax many yrs ago, it was super easy. It's gotten more difficult and cumbersome over time. More technical jargon. Links provided for return being rejected are not correct and need to be updated/revise. Keep in mind the following..."Explain it so a 6th grader can understand it."

Difficult problem resolved by excellent experts

After 25 years I had a serious problem with downloading information from investment/financial institutions, because incompatibility with Norton. I had two calls with your experts. Both of the experts were very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. The first one thought she had fixed it, but the next day it was blocked from completing because the same compatibility problem. It was resolved, but it required one of your experts talking to another expert to finally solve the problem. They were all very pleasant to deal with, but it required being on the phone for a total of almost two hours.
