Not as good as in previous years

The download function is now cumbersome. I had to manually put in information for each form I wanted downloaded from my investment company/bank. In previous years. TurboTax helped me log onto my investment company/bank and downloaded ALL tax forms Very cumbersome now! Also, with the additional tax break for seniors, it was impossible to see what if anything I am getting of the additional $6,000 standard deduction for seniors. The product needs work. It is not getting easier to use.

not a happy camper

very upset that you did not support Windows 10 for at least 1 more year. also the refund amount did not match the one I got whlle online with Turbo Tax. the software version was less. I also now have to ask for a refund for Deluxe online because I ended up having to install it on a windows 11 machine so I do not want to pay for both. one last really really irritating thing is that I never received the emails when I tried to do efile on website. I am just not a happy camper at all at the moment

Major problem with 2025 Turbo Tax Deluxe Arkansas

Turbo Tax Deluxe 2025 Arkansas State After selecting Filing Status 4 (Married filing separately on the same return), Program prompts for selecting "65 Special" tax credit for SPOUSE but does not prompt for selecting "65 Special" tax credit for PRIMARY and automatically applies the "65 Special" tax credit for the PRIMARY! This results in the $6,000 Retirement Exclusion NOT being applied for the PRIMARY!

Only one small issue

It was very confusing when I payed for and downloaded the desktop version, but a large box appears that says continue to online. With a small text that says stay on desktop. I did my whole return without realizing this and when it would not file; that's when it became clear. Please fix that. If someone purchases the desk top let them continue on the desktop version.

Turbo Tax a Problem

Once filed can't go back and verify what was filed electronically vs printed to file by mail. Not sure if state was actually filed or not. Can't verify through the product. Can't go to state without going through the federal information first. Even just for review.

Product Not up to Prior Standards

I am most unhappy with the changes in the product--no "It's Deductible", cannot review forms before filing (yes, I read the instructions, but preview is not an option unless the return is open an you cannot open the return until it's filed--had to print. I made an error initially reporting a 1099R as a 403 B-it was not and I corrected, but the form kept citing an "error" for simplified method which is not what this is, and the correction that was input multiple times did not stop Turbo Tax from asking for info that was no part of the 1099 R. Also tax returns saved on the computer would not upload from last year, so everything had to be re-entered. As a long time Turbo Tax user, I am very disappointed in this product.

Very difficult to transfer from last year's return

This was the hardest time I've had with many years of using TurboTax. The program was unable to transfer the information from my 2024 TurboTax return to create a new return. I was actually on the phone with a representative seeking help when I attempted, for at least the 5th time, to access the 2024 file and transfer, when it actually worked. I had closed the 2025 TurboTax file and reopened before making the call, and I believe this is what worked. But it shouldn't have been so hard!

Turbo Tax has gotten greedy!

Turbo Tax has been great and I have been using Turbo Tax for years. However, Turbo Tax NEVER CHARGED a percentage of the amount due before. Therefore, I will mail my return and reconsider using Turbo Tax next year. In addition, I will inform my family members and friends who also utilize Turbo Tax of this extra percentage charge -along with having to pay for Turbo Tax!

I've used T-Tax forever

Been using T-Tax since it was version 1.0. I really have no problems because I was an accountant for 30yrs at a large communications company. Prep work is the easy way to file the returns. I use quicken to record all me transactions during the year. Quicken schedules help me summarize everything. I download my own 1099's for my financial Institutions. I input last yeas return and go back to complete the return.

Using Turbo Tax if you live outside the USA

The primary reason I use TT is because I'm a US citizen living overseas and married to a non-US citizen and I want to e-file. However if your spouse doesn't have a US Social Security Number or ITIN you can't e-file. The advice from TT is to print the forms and write in Non Resident Alien (NRA) in place of the Social. That kind of defeats the purpose. And after reading the FAQ's from TT, this issue is only one of data validation in the field for Social Security number. And it's been an issue for years. Why doesn't TT simply modify the data validation to allow NRA as a valid entry?
