This was the most glitchiest Turbotax year software I have ever used. I have been a TurboTax customer since the 2000’s. The first time I attempted to download my state forms, my entire computer froze, with the multi colored pinwheel spinning. Eventually, the software dumped my entire Federal return. I had to re-do it. Also, this year culd no read the 2024 tax returns. I had to re-enter all my personal information for 2025. Like I said, Lots of Glitches…..

Have always given turbo tax a 5 because it easily met my needs in preparing a relatively simple return. In past years, I prepared my state return in turbo tax, but transferred all the info to the state website and filed it directly with the state to avoid the extra filing fee. Decided to "splurge" this year an avoid the hassle of having to transfer all my info to the state website. It was only AFTER paying the fee that I learned that Turbotax does not have a way to attach the required documentation for a state credit. So now I need to figure out how to do that through the state website. VERY DISAPPOINTED and QUITE ANNOYED.

I have used Turbo Tax for years and am always satisfied. I have a fair degree of tax requirements but still rely on Turbo Tax as a double check of my entries, to remind me of input I may have overlooked and for ease in entering and filing my Federal and State returns.

The most difficult part of filing with turbotax is the e-filing section. It repeatedly asked to update turbotax when I had already updated it and using the latest version of turbotax deluxe edition 2025, I did'nt think it would take long for the process to be completed but it did. The system needs to be updated in the desktop download version that is purchased from the store so that consumers are able to complete there taxes in a timely manner, it took me an extra couple of hours to complete. Lengthy process.

I've been using TurboTax for years. I'm still fairly happy with it. There is still some clunkiness and inconsistencies with the user interface. On the Income and Deductions section, when you finish a topic, you are taken to the top of the window. And then you have to scroll down to the bottom of the window to move to the next topic. Not a show stopper, but annoying. Some dialogues require you to choose "none of the above" and some don't. Not consistent.

I have been using TurboTax Deluxe for Windows for about 15 years now and still find it incredibly easy to use. In total, I have probably saved several hundred dollars over having someone do my taxes for me. I have not used the business editions, but I believe the experience would be similar. The software is easy to use and at least for the last 15 years... very accurate!

The program was average overall due to the fac that you discontinued ItsDeductible in October 2025. This unfavorable decision caused a lot of problems for those who utilized the ItsDeductible for the year and then had to find an alternative for the remainder of the year. Add to that, only one program Deductible Duck was able to transfer the data from the 10 months that had already been inputted and then add to their program. Deductible Duck did a yeoman's job in being able to transfer the data into Turbo Tax -however there are a few issues with the Form 8283. A lot of manual entries had to be made because Turbo Tax did not allow some of the data to be transferred. I would have used a different program other than Turbo Tax, but due to the last minute decision by Turbo Tax, my only option was Turbo Tax. I find it irresponsible on Turbo Tax's decision to stop a program used by many for many years and leave us hanging. Again KUDOS to Deductible Duck for saving the day. Deductible Duck is a great program for those of us that like to support those in need and hopefully they will be able to have other alternative tax programs we can use in 2026. Turbo Tax has really disappointed many.

First problems ever since 2016 when I started using TT. Trouble uploading 1099's from Merrill Lynch. TT deluxe desktop for Macthen entered DOUBLE all our income, and had problems with guiding me as to how toemter my "hobbyist musician earnings of $485, less than th e$600 would have gotten me a 1099-NEC. I still had to have an Employer EIN< so I used hte one form 2024 (same employer, bt last year there was a 1099-NEC. Additionally, there was a handful of other troubling glitches,soI paid the $50 to get help, and was told that to itemize my music expense (much greater than $485), I needed to buy a more expensive TT version for an additional $40. It turns out that I could go to the Forms tab, and use Schedule C to enter my expenses against my "profit"of $485. Anyway, a very bumpy process for a very simple financial situation!!

BIGGEST issue is the import. Refer to the hundreds of comments on your website. The search "function" doesn't function. If I want to know where to put 1095-a info, and i search, nothing comes up:(. The payment process requires you to UNcapitalize your name, in order for it to go through. Took almost an hour to figure that out, since no error message suggested we do that:( DISAPPOINTED. Last year had import issues, I almost went with a different software. Wish I had. Took MUCH longer than ever to file:(

For the past more than four years I have gotten the desktop version. Be aware that the software will keep trying to move you to the web version. For windows, version 11 is required. I needed a new laptop for that. I can recommend the extra 60 bucks for the live on the phone help rather than the searching for or posting in the community section. That phone person knows both the desktop software and the tax codes. I was able to share my screen explain my issue. She knew what information i needed and exactly where to enter it. Saved my butt. I purchased the audit defense as a peace of mind.
