very disappointed in Turbo Tax Deluxe this year.. always getting the message to activate the license and will be using up activation codes... I've tried shutting off the firewall and virus protection, but that still hasn't helped... Regardless, I should not have to shut the protection off on my laptop to do updates...and to think it's March 28th and they still don't have this fixed is insane... your business reputation is going downhill the longer you leave this issue hang out there. I've also been a long time user of Turbo Tax with relatively minor issues in the past, but this year is a completely different story..

This year I was looking forward to less taxes due to the tax law changes but, those changes didn't help as much as I expected. I was looking for TurboTax to show the changes on screen like they popped up in previous years. Also, the North Carolina military pension exemption caused some confusion for us with (2) different categories. Overall I was pleased with the whole process. *I was disappointed in the fact that I could not use my Windows 10 system this time around.

Overall good and easy to use, but options regarding payment are flawed for payment plan options. Overall it guides through well but the interface does not give proper features to identify a payment plan being requested and approved as it suggests doing.

TurboTax always guides me through the process and checks for mistakes during review. It facilitates a process that is complicated and burdensome at best. We shouldn't have such a convoluted system of taxation, but this is a handy tool for making it to the finish line with the least amount of stress.

Hi, I had one small problem regarding Arizona Estimated tax payments. The Federa Review function / audit application kept referring me to the amount and state of a 2024 refund that I rolled into my Arizona 2025 estimated Tax payments. I never applied any refund into a future year as an estimated tax payment. Took me a few hours to identify and correct. I misread a question in which I indicated that I had elected to apply a 2024 AZ refund to my 2025 AZ taxes. MY MISTAKE, NOT YOURS. Your TurboTax worked GREAT. I'll use it again next year !!

Unlike in prior years, the software failed multiple times while preparing my return. Twice it dumped all of the data and I had to start from scratch. Multiple additional times it crashed and had to restart. This AI editor of my review is also annoying.

Had several issues: First, the software was downloaded into an old inactive account, so I had to spend significant time getting it to where I could use it. The software was very difficult to switch between standard deduction and itemized, the help feature was out of date (in Maryland it is sometime favorable to itemize federal becuase the state standard deduction is low so the net is better. Spend a couple of hours trying to figure that out, it was easy last year and you made it harder. Instructions for what and why I needed to file with form 8453 were not clear. I am e-filing, but the software showed an error for allowing electronic debit to my account even though your software made the election on that form, I hope that works. For my son's return, he used a car in his for business as a contractor last year, but not this year, but I can't get the software to recognize that, it keeps wanting car data, no way to say not used.

There were a few issues with 2025 Turbo Tax. Opening a new section resulted in several error messages BEFORE I had entered any information. TT kept insisting that my pension is Canadian, but it is not. State return didn't populate until I exited the program and restarted.

I have used TT every year for many years. Until this year I have been super satisfied with my purchase and the output. But this year I was disappointed in the interview questions and completeness of the 529 programming. This 2025 version of TT did not handle two of my 529 situations properly: Room and Bad distributions for a college student living at home and 529-to-Roth rollover. First, the interview questions never properly handled 1099-Q entries for tax-free R&B withdrawals. I was forced to use AI to help me brute-force the worksheets into submission so that this legitimate distribution was not taxed. Second, when typing in the 1099-Q describing a $6,500 529-to-Roth rollover, when I checked the 529-to-ROTH check box, TT kept claiming an error in the final check and said essentially, "we are not done with that part of the program, come back later." But the weekly updates never fixed it. I spent a lot of time researching and fixing these two errors. Intuit - do better, 529s are not obscure corner cases, they are very common and the ROTH rollover has been in the tax code since 2024.

Twice now, I have tried to file electronically and when I put in the AGI from the previous year, it rejects the return. To clarify, by twice, I mean two years on a row. I confirmed on the printed copy from the previous year and last year and this year, it was rejected. I wasn't crazy about the $40 fee for the "free" electronic filing on the federal return but I guess I won' be paying that once again as I will have to mail it in.
