While I know most of my tax situations, sometimes I do need help with the turbo tax software. Two specific issues I had was the appearance of a state being downloaded that I was no longer using and a state return being attached to my federal return that I was not a resident of, but I had used for future planning residence. I was not sure how to remove or change either and Turbo Tax customer service were helpful in fixing my problems. love the fact that I can talk to a live person about basic software issues.

Downloaded versions MUST and SHOULD automatically save as infomation is inputted. It shouldn't only be the online version that automatically saves. I lost close to 4 hours of time working on my taxes when the screen froze and I couldn't save my work. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel that Turbo Tax is overpriced, but I keep using because it is so easy to bring in all the information from last year. However, Microsoft refused to update my old desktop to Windows 11, so I had to buy a new machine. Even though I copied over last year's return, it would not import it. So what would be a five star review, which becomes 4 star due to price, becomes 3 star because I had to retype a bunch of stuff that I already typed last year.

2025 version is NOT as good 2024 version. Questions are not all that clear. When my return was rejected for using wrong AGI, do you think I could figure out how to find the box to input the correct AGI? Not on your life. Also since when do I have a separate AGI and my wife have her own AGI?? We were filing jointly, not separately. It seems that several of the items become hidden once they are input and impossible to find again. I was not impressed with the 2025 version;

1. Entering the same data e.g. driver's license or bank account information multiple times twice is cumbersome. 2. Getting charged to process a refund by a third-party rather than having the government deposit it directly into my account (since the account data is on my tax forms) seems like a money grab. Last year it cost me nothing to get my money back. 3. During the first transmission, the software locked up - customer service was very helpful, but had 30 minutes on hold to learn that I should force quit and restart my computer.

I've been using Turbotax since the floppy disc days. I've never had a problem with it and will continue to use it in the future. HOWEVER....I hate hate hate the added fees that you don't see until you are ready to file. Just when you think you have your numbers correct and you can start your planning you get chiseled again at the very end. Should be much better and more up front with the final cost.

Remind people that when you automatically upload Investment data it does not overwrite what you manually input. It creates another form and if you don't catch that you will be overpaying your taxes. Clear out any manually input investment data and then do the auto upload.

Like the desktop version. Downloading and getting it to run was a bit difficult. DESPISE that TurboTax is trying to force me to use an online version. Too many "safe" sites have been hacked and information stolen. My health insurace company was hacked and my medical reecords stolen, Tere was nothing I personally could have done to prevent it. I do no trust my financiail records to be stored online

I am over 65 years old and eligible to withdraw inherited OPM payments since 2024 after my husband passed away. However, TurboTax added additional 10% early withdraw penalty of $1,192.50 to my total tax, resulted in tax due $1,370 instead of $178 tax owe. I would appreciate your help and provide the problem solving instructions. I have all other amounts matched up with TurboTax's figures, except the total tax. Thank you, Judy

I enjoy using TurboTax! The layout is very easy to understand and navigate. The offers to upgrade to different services throughout the process don't feel over-pushy and sound useful for the ideal customer. Nice to be able to go back and forth and confirm you're comfortable with all the information you've inputted without bothering a tax prep person. Makes you feel confident you've filled your forms out correctly!
