My little family of 3 has had this cooler for just over a week and we have found several uses for it already! We loaded it up with a picnic lunch and took it to a park the first day we had it. My husband loves how light it is and how easy it is to carry given its shape. It kept our food and drinks cold and even provided a seat for me after lunch. ;) We used the drink spout function at a soccer game and cleaned it out for some fresh water and ice- the kids were all able to fill up their canteens which was nice! Lastly, we toted it along to the beach using the screw on cap which prevents leaks… it kept our food from home cold for the 3 hour drive down and we took it out on the beach for lunch and snacks. Such a durable, well thought out product! I would definitely recommend this for outdoor lovers, sports enthusiasts, and families!

I bought this because my soft sided cooler died and I needed a replacement quickly. I thought the spout in the bottom would be a good attribute for the ball field, but it leaks like nobody's business. I will try to find a cap for it, but I'm not impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so excited to receive this water cooler in exchange for our honest review. I was so excited to test this out with my dads famous homemade root beer! My dad always makes his root beer at all our family functions. For Mothers Day we put it to the test. I put the dry ice in the cooler alone to store until time to make it. 5 hours later when I opened the cooler there was fog because of how cold it was inside, and the dry ice was still the same size as when I bought it. After making the root beer, the regular ice we put in has lasted 3 days! There is still some ice in the cooler and the little bit of root beer left is still cold!! We love the shape of it. It is so much easier to stack in the car with other coolers, gear etc. It fits perfect under the upper cabinets next to the kitchen sink. (One problem we always had with our other brand water cooler.) Love the flat surface top! It's perfect to put paper cups on or to place other things on when needed. Other things we love about it are: * Ice lasts for days! Going to be great for camping! * Markings on the inside make seeing the level of contents very easy. * The rope and plastic carrying handles are comfortable and make carrying easier * Lid with the locking latches create a tight seal to keep contents colder longer. Even got tipped and contents did not spill. * Love that we can replace the spout with a regular cooler plug and use as a regular cooler for those short day trips when a smaller cooler is needed. Overall we love the cooler and plan to use it on all our summer outings, BBQs, etc! Gonna have to get some bigger Lifetime Coolers to go with it! Best of all - Dads Famous Root Beer in an awesome Lifetime Cooler = PRICELESS!!!

We have been taking this to practices and games for our three baseball players and it is so convenient! The rope handles are sturdy for carrying, I'm impressed with the overall quality in general. The ice retention is great for those hot game days, happy the kids will stay hydrated! My favorite part is the spout, easy for the players to help themselves to but can also be removed and replaced with a cap (purchased separately) to make it a stand alone cooler as well. Looking forward to taking this camping too!

We've tested out the ice retention and it was able to hold ice for 5 days with only a bit of melting. We love the handles as our favorite feature to keep your knuckles from hitting the sides. All around a great product!

I was impressed how long it kept the ice from melting. 3 days!!!! The handles are great, making it easy to carry even when it's full. It holds A LOT of liquid. Cons.... It is kind of hard to clean in a standard sink. Just like most amazing coolers it does air lock so we just had to open the lid a few times while we were using it to keep it flowing. But it's totally worth it! We can't wait to use it for tball games, camping, and more backyard parties!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I am a huge fan of Lifetime products. Their customer service and quality have always been stellar. This cooler is no exception! We used this cooler for a family party and mixed some juice in it for the kids. I wasn't worried about the juice leaking even with the kids getting it themselves. I wasn't worried about the juice going moldy in the spout since the spout is removable to be able to wash. I liked the way the cooler clips together to keep your drinks cold. I was worried about the flow of water since the cooler seals so tight to keep the drinks cold, but we haven't had that problem. My husband has now been using it to take to work to refill reusable water bottles instead of buying plastic water bottles. The water stays cold for days, even with very little ice. I love the size, its shorter and square, so it feels more stable to ride in my car with the water or juice in it. The locking lid helps with that security too! I would recommend this cooler we have found we have already saved money (and cooler space) not needing to buy waterbottles. This is our go to cooler!

Whether it be doing yard work or going to an amusement park. The handles are strong and long enough for two people to carry the cooler side by side. The water stayed cool and fresh in the 80+ degree temperatures. The spigot for water is easy to use and well designed. We also love that we can change the spigot out for a plug to use this as a drink cooler when we don't want to take water with us. The first thing I did when I got the cooler was fill it with 2 pounds of ice, the ice lasted over 2 days. I left the water in the cooler to see if it would leak out the spout, and to my surprise it didn't. One of the things I hate most is when the spout leaks and it makes my car all wet. After this test, I was ready to use it. Another thing I was concerned about was how heavy it was and if it would be easy to carry. I loaded the water cooler up with ice and drinks and set out for a family get together. The cooler was easy to carry with the lengthy rope handles and plastic grips. The drinks stayed cold all day and well into the next day, as well as the ice remained ice. There are a few things I love about this water cooler, one is the shape, it fits nicely in the back of my SUV and will also fit in the trunk of my daughters car. The next is it can be used as more than just a water cooler, the spout is removable and can be replaced with a regular cooler plug and used as a regular cooler for those day trips. Speaking of the spout, it doesn't leak and is can be completely disassembled for cleaning so no more gross water spouts when you put anything but water in it. Its very easy to clean and the rope handles make save your back when carrying it. All in all this is a great water cooler with lots of functionality and a great way to keep your water, Gatorade, or punch cold. I cant wait to use it all summer whether I'm doing yard work, sitting at softball games, a family BBQ or going for a hike, I know I'll be covered with something cold to drink with this 5 gallon water cooler from Lifetime.
