The FurFinder stick vac has done wonders for our floors and sofas. Especially with the new kitten in a separate half of the house as we integrate him with our older cat, we’ve had to vacuum more frequently since we have a cat contained space. The FurFinder headlights have done wonderfully in keeping the closet floor clean as it is darker. The built-in light helps illuminate all the clumps of fur under our clothes. We also noticed how much fur was picked up on our boucle sofa. The texture of the sofa makes it easy for fur to hide out, and the FurFinder tool extracted a bunch!

This vacuum handled all the surfaces in my home surprisingly well. On hardwood and tile, it picked up fur, dirt, and crumbs easily without scattering them around. On area rugs and low-pile carpet, it had solid suction and didn’t leave any visible pet hair behind. It struggled just a little on my thicker, high-pile rug, but with a few extra passes, it got the job done. I liked that I didn’t have to switch settings manually; it transitioned pretty smoothly between The FurFinder upholstery tool was a standout for me. I used it on my couch and pet beds, where hair always seems to get woven into the fabric. It really pulled up fur that I couldn’t even see at first—definitely made a noticeable difference. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% perfect (I still needed a lint roller for a few stubborn spots), but it saved me a lot of time compared to vacuuming with the regular floor attachment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder every day for over two weeks; it has some excellent features that are tempered by a few issues. For the sake of brevity, below are my ratings. 1. Weight: 5/5 This vacuum is remarkably lightweight and easy to move around. I’ve always had an upright, corded vacuum so the experience of using a cordless version is great. This vacuum is light enough that my young children can actually pick it up and joyfully vacuum with it, which is a win/win for all of us. 2. Comfort/ergonomics: 2/5 The handle is pretty awful on this vacuum. After a longer vacuuming sprees I have to change hands just for some respite. Something about the way the bottom part of the handle presses on my knuckles makes it fairly painful to hold for long periods of time. 3. Headlights: 5/5 Almost too good. These lights are BRIGHT and they see EVERYTHING. The cracks, the gouges, the miniscule pieces of hair and lint—all is revealed. I’ve never had a vacuum with such great lights and I will say that I felt better about the cleanliness of my floors before I could see them like this. 4. Sturdiness: 4/5 The lightness of the vacuum is due, in part, to its aluminum frame. While this makes it super accessible and easy to lift, it also results in some serious squeaks after a few runs. Keep in mind that I am vacuuming quite a lot of footage at least once a day, so this vacuum has already seen some mileage. Anytime I rotate the head while vacuuming (like maneuvering it between chair legs or around a corner), the frame squeaks quite loudly. Nothing broken so far, but it complains loudly! 5. Battery Life and Charging: 4/5 I can vacuum my downstairs flooring (around 1700 sq ft) on the lowest setting within one battery charge, around 35-40 minutes. Obviously increasing the vacuuming strength will shorten the battery life, and I have noticed that the battery charge seems to deteriorate faster after the 1st battery bar goes down. However, the battery does charge quite quickly (within a couple of hours). 6. Effectiveness: 3/5 We have pugs, so there’s always plenty of dog hair to vacuum. The brush roll hasn’t tangled yet, and I have long hair so that’s been a problem with other vacuums. However, I have not noticed a significant difference in the amount of “stuff” sucked up while vacuuming with the PowerClean FurFinder versus my corded, upright, bag vacuum. In fact, it might not vacuum quite as well on hard floors as my other vacuum (for example, it had a hard time pulling up spilled dried lentils on wood floors; I had to make several passes to get the strays). It’s also not as powerful as I want it to be on our high-pile carpet, and its vacuum tracks are not as defined as I’d like. I will add that it's easy to separate and the handheld configurations work well for blinds, furniture, crevices, etc. 7. Dirt Cup: 3/5 The dirt cup is fine, for a bagless vacuum. You have to use two hands to empty it, which is kind of annoying, but it clicks in and out easily. I don’t see the point of having a sealed HEPA filtration system when you’re going to literally dump all the dirt and debris into a garbage sack and let those particles wander around in the air again. 8. Overall Assessment: 4/5 Overall, I’d recommend this vacuum but with some reservations. I don’t think it’s a great pick for large homes or for homes with a lot of high-pile carpet, and it might not be high on the list for people who are worried about allergies and air quality. I still feel like my heavier, corded vacuum does a better job pulling up traffic-worn carpet, but that’s probably more of an aesthetic issue than a cleaning one. However, the FurFinder is really very convenient thanks to its cordless and lightweight design; I’ve started keeping it downstairs, where I have the most hard flooring, and I love that I can reach for it and vacuum up crumbs and dirt so easily without the plug-in and cord hassle. I would recommend it for folks with limited storage room (you can mount the vacuum and charger on the wall to get it out of the way), or for families who want a handy, lightweight vacuum on hand for quick spills and clean-ups.

As someone who shares a house with two very fluffy dogs and a cat, pet hair has always been a constant battle. I've tried a few other vacuums before, but the FurFinder stands out for a few reasons. First off, the suction power is impressive. It pulls up pet hair not just from hard floors but deep out of carpet fibers too. I noticed a huge difference after the first use—areas that always felt a little "furry" now actually feel clean underfoot. The specialized pet hair attachment works wonders on furniture and my car seats, which were basically coated before this. Another thing I appreciate is how lightweight and easy to maneuver it is. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the vacuum does a good job on smooth surfaces and ok on low pile area rugs. You do need to put it on the lowest setting to vacuum area rugs for it to work and not get stuck. The headlights are very bright showing all the hair, dust and crumbs. The vacuum was easy to put together, stands up on its own and doesn’t fall over like other stick vacuums I’ve used before. After testing the FurFinder tool on my dog bed it did suck up a good amount of hair but also got stuck and I had to switch it to the lowest setting. When I used it on our couch I didn’t feel like it did a good job getting the short hair from our boxer off the couch. I did use it on a thicker area rug and it did a good job pulling the hair up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to vacuums, I've found that they come in two varieties: stick vacs that are convenient, yet weak, and monster corded vacuum units that are powerful, but a hassle to manage and store. I feel that this PowerClean FurFinder is the best compromise of both worlds. It is light, thin and easily portable, but it works surprisingly well and doesn't seem limited in any regard. I have other vacuums. Bigger, stronger vacuums. But this has been the unit I keep coming back to on a day to day basis. It's especially useful on hardwood/laminate/smooth floors, where the light on the unit really shines, and makes it easy for me not to miss anything. When I'm done, I simply empty the canister and pop it back in. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that I feel the battery life could be a bit better. Thankfully, it's easily and quickly charged. And if you are a responsible adult and do a little vacuum once or twice a day and only need it for a few minutes, you'll have no problem. But I tend to get lazy and then do a mass vacuum of the entire house. I can usually manage 20-30 minutes on the highest power setting. More than that, and I run the risk of it dying and needing a charge. So that's a drawback that I feel could be easily rectified with a slightly more potent battery. That being said, this thing is marvelous, does its job well, and comes with a number of attachments, all of which I've found useful. It's easy to pull out on a moment's notice and get to work, before popping it back in storage. Just make sure to stay on top of your cleaning! Highly recommend this unit!

It comes with three attachments for tackling different jobs, though I found myself always leaving the main attachment on for quick kitchen jobs after dinner. The battery life is perfect for that - anything more will require a recharge before use. It comes with a handy wall attachment that also serves as the charging port. I wish I could charge it without the wall hanger because I like to have it out of sight when guests are over. I like being able to see all the junk I vacuumed up, so I appreciate the transparent dust bin. The vacuum is perfect weighted while carrying which makes it easy cleaning with one hand. I'm grateful I received this vacuum as part of Stellar Panel's reviewing group as it makes night time clean-ups a breeze!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve owned a few stick vacuums over the years and this one has been a pleasant surprise as I was ready to switch back to a bulky corded vacuum. My favorite feature is how quiet this vacuum is. Previously, our toddler and dog would run to the next room anytime we brought our old vacuum out, it screamed! With this vacuum nobody has to evacuate. I also greatly appreciate how well this vacuum work on hard floors. Most of our home is hard flooring and some vacuums have a tendency to kick debris around rather than vacuum it up. This one appears to get it all, meaning I can truly use one device to clean my whole home. The suction power on carpet/plush rugs does not compete with the strongest of corded vacuums, but it’s more than sufficient for regular cleanings. Lastly, I also enjoy the weight and ergonomics which make the vacuum comfortable to use, and that the battery is replaceable should I ever need to do. The vacuum can also stand on its own, which is a feat none of my previous stick vacuums could do; this seems like a small thing but it’s really so convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a white dog with short hair and a dark blue couch. To get the couch clean I have scraped and picked hair out of the cushions. But the Bissel fur finder actually got the couch clean! The vacuum is so easy to assemble and use. The battery charges quickly and pops in and out so you can charge it separately from the vacuum. Then you have two options for using the vacuum- you can put it together with a long stick for carpets and floors or you can do a handheld version that I used on my couch. Using the vacuum in the floor version is light and easy to use. The handhold version is only slightly more clunky than a Dustbuster. However, it is the power and the head on the handheld version that really impressed me. It really cleaned all dog hair with just a few strokes! Plus, it is easy to snap in and out of the two versions to go back-and-forth. I cleaned both the floor and the couch in one cleaning. The battery holds its charge nicely, and the vacuum was ready to use again without needing to recharge the battery. I didn’t assemble it on the wall hook because I don’t have that much space. I’m actually having fun vacuuming because it makes the job so efficient! It’s even pretty quiet as far as vacuums go. I wish I had had this for more years with my dog. Would highly recommend to anyone with a pet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pros: the suction! This thing is powerful on even the lowest setting. With two small children and two large dogs, we vacuum multiple times a day on hardwood flooring, tile and large rugs. This vacuum picked up a lot each time. It had adjustable power settings so you can turn up the suction if wanting a deeper clean on carpeting but this always picked up a good amount even on the lowest setting. The wall mount was easy to install and hold the vacuum nicely out of the way. It seemed to hold it's charge for awhile unless running on the more powerful setting but plugs in easily to charge. The self standing feature is amazing! I hate having to lean our previous stick vacuum against a wall only to have it slide down and fall. Loved being able to stand this up and walk away without it falling over. The lights on the foot of the vaccum are SUPER bright. I even vacuumed with the lights off and holy cow the lights lit up the whole room! Definitely helped light up those hard to see places such as under people and dog beds! I do appreciate that this has multiple filters to prevent the dust and dirt from recirculating through our home. The filters removed easily and we're easy to clean under running water. We love the ability to remove the hand vacuum from the extension wand. We use the hand vacuum often for smaller messes along baseboards and corners. The cons: this vacuum is heavier and bulkier than our previous stick vacuum. It is harder to maneuver under tighter spaces such as under beds due to the size of the dirt tank. I'm not a fan of how you empty the dirt tank. You have to remove the tank, removed the top and dump. I much prefer one that you press a button, the bottom opens and you let everything fall in the garbage to empty. I was fortunate to receive this vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We have only used this vacuum a few weeks so will be interested to see how it will hold up will being used multiple times daily.
