I have two cats and a shorthaired dog and we constantly deal with pet fur in our household. We have multiple surfaces including tile, hardwood and rugs and the vacuum preformed great on each of these surfaces. It’s not too loud either. With one use on the rug, the fur finding tool picked up so much hair. I loved the headlight feature which illuminates hair and dust that is easily missed without it. I love how the vacuum stands on its own without having to lean it up against something. I also noticed that the brush roll does not have long bristles that make getting hair cleaned off so much easier. Overall I really like this vacuum and am excited to use it in my home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great standing vacuum! It is mostly lightweight, glides easily and lays flat beneath hard to reach furniture. It glides really smoothly and the light is amazing for seeing all sorts of fur, dirt and debris. I especially like how it stands up on its own if you need to step away. The fur finder tool worked really well. We have two dogs who shed and this is an awesome tool for furniture! The only con to this vacuum is that it is a little top heavy and my forearm did fatigue after several minutes.

It’s super easy to use, and I love that there’s no cord—I’m not stuck to the wall the whole time or tripping over a cord. It is really simple, intuitive and straightforward to use, which I appreciate- I did not even read the instructions. The headlights on the vac are my favorite part. They show all the hair and crumbs you wouldn’t even see otherwise. Kind of gross, but satisfying to clean up. I actually used my vacuumn after my house keeper left, and found so much more to pick up after it had been cleaned by another vacuumn. It’s got enough power to handle pet hair and kid chaos, and the FurFinder tool worked surprisingly well on the couch and chairs. Definitely made cleaning feel less annoying, so I will be looking forward to using this to upkeep my house more often that I normally do because it feels easy to do. My only feedback would be, if you are using this for a long time, the vacuum can feel a bit heavy because of where the motor is mounted. But, that is how the vac is so powerful, so maybe it is a trade off. Also love that we can just mount it on the wall when we’re done, so it’s not just laying around. Overall, it’s been a solid little vac and makes cleanup way less of a hassle.

This lightweight stick vacuum pushes like a dream and the dust detection light makes finding dirt a breeze. I don’t have a pet, but I do have two small kids and this vacuum works as well at sucking up crumbs, dust, and dried play doh as my heavier (and more expensive) stick vacuum. And unlike other stick vacuums that require you hold down a trigger to keep the vacuum on (which actually gave me wrist problems that I had to see a doctor for), this stick vacuum has an easy on/off switch, which makes such a difference in functionality! My only complaint is that emptying the bin is counterintuitive. It’s not as easy as pressing a button to open the bin and let the dirt drop out (like with most vacuums). The button releases the bin, but then you must pull out the filter from the bin and turn the bin upside down to dump, which is definitely a two hand job.

The Bissell Fur Finder has proven to be one of the better contenders in this price range and offers some truly thoughtful features-though it's not without its flaws. Where this vacuum really shines is on carpet. Compared to other handhelds and even a few stick vacuums we ve tried, the Fur Finder pulls up pet hair exceptionally well from rugs and carpeted areas. One of the standout features is the built-in light-it's extremely helpful for spotting fur and dust bunnies hiding in plain sight, especially in low light or under furniture. Another convenience we love is the foot-operated accessory system. Being able to attach or detach accessories without bending over is a small but meaningful feature. It also stands upright on its own, which is rare for handhelds and really handy for quick breaks during a cleaning session. The wall-mounted charging dock is another bonus-it keeps things organized and the vacuum clips in easily. Now for the drawbacks. The battery life isn't great. While it charges quickly (which is a plus), you really only get solid performance on the medium or high speed settings. The lowest setting barely picks anything up, so it's practically useless. But using the higher settings means the battery drains faster-especially if you're trying to do the whole house in one go. It's a bit heavy for a handheld, which might not matter for quick clean-ups but can become noticeable if you're doing a more thorough job. Its not too noisy so that is a plus, but the weight is a little bit too heavy for my taste. Overall, I'd give it a three out of five since I didn't see any noticeable difference when tackling pet hair.
