Screen doesn't work without membership. It should at least provide basic metrics. Greed is evil.

Fantastic machine %26 have enjoyed training with echelon, well worth the money!

I can’t say enough about the echelon rower that we have and I would give that five stars by itself. And the reason for the two star deduction is the change in app/subscription service. A couple years ago you had to pay for the live subscription service, which was fine at the time because you could get pre-recorded events/sessions at no cost. Now echelon requires a subscription for both live and pre-recorded sessions. It is too costly to be acceptable.

I am surprised at the difficulty with getting the row-s machine to connect to my wifi, update the firmware, and then load an on demand workout. I have spent several hours trying to research FAQ pages, videos online, as well as other social media channels and nothing is helpful. I haven't been able to use my machine for the month I have had the subscription. I love my bike and haven't ever had any difficulty with any part of it. I am just floored that we aren't able to get it to work.

It shipped without hardware. Instead of overnight the few bolts it took a week to ship. I was upgraded to the S rower which includes a screen ensuring that you will pay the membership fee. Alas, got my bolts, assembled the rower and the display won’t update - it is nine versions behind. Not sure how long it will take them to send a new one. ????

Good classes and instructors. Enjoy the variety. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that the machine can be a little glitchy. We've had to back out of a class a few times and restart because the resistance wasn't working or it will freeze for 10-15 seconds or so in the middle of a class. It's occasional enough it's not a big issue, but it keeps me from giving a fabulous review.

Love my Echelon Row-S. I purchased an open-box rower. There was nothing that I could see wrong with it. Works perfectly. I LOVE the large interactive screen and rowing with the trainers. The screen is large for me to see, as opposed to using my I-Pad. The interaction with the trainers makes the rowing time go faster. Having the trainers allows me to focus on my form and to challenge myself. Extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Hands down, my Echelon Row-S is the single-handed best piece of fitness equipment I have ever purchased and/or owned. Its perfect for my little at-home gym and the ease of joining classes, rowing at my convenience or just cruising down a scenic waterway makes working out a blast, an ease and a joy. I understand that getting this equipment isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for an alternative to the other expensive fitness equipment company that ends with an "ON", then definitely get an Echelon!

Being unfamiliar with rowing, I was super impressed with the variety of classes available. The instructors are excellent. I love the leaderboard and how it pushes me to do better. I love how there are bootcamp classes that already incorporate weight training, and the diversity of fitpass. I also love that that there are separate warmup and cooldown programs. Somedays I am short on time while others I'm all for an extra ten minute cooldown. I also love that I can cooldown with yoga, stretching or continued rowing. Although I really do love my rower, there are a few criticisms as well. As with any piece of technology, there are times the connection stops. Often this is when I start, and it fixes simply by restarting. This wastes a few minutes and is only a small annoyance. However, when you are racing during a workout and the connection is lost, it is much more annoying when your stats are lost and you have to start over. This has only happened twice, but I have to reset the rower when I start a workout several times a week. You can't use the rower if the connection isn't registering- it is a bigger problem than it not showing your stats, it does not work at all. My other annoyance is that there is no manual mode or ability to continue the workout once the video completes. Although I worked hard and burned 295 calories, there are times I really want to go another minute to reach that 300 calorie goal. I also found the music to be a bit disappointing. I was hoping the use of popular songs would really pump me up, but it is barely noticeable. Luckily, the instructions are very efficient at getting me excited! Overall, I do really love this machine and that it offers a wide variety of workouts. I have found rowing to be my favorite form of cardiovascular exercise! I am not disappointed I chose to invest in this machine!
