First, you had already automatically billed me for your product, but you made it as difficult as possible to get to it. Second, I have done two returns for years with your software, and we got married, and you did not care about the second return--really poor software.

Have used TurboTax for years. It makes tax filling simple, especially the new computation for tax on Social Security. On the other hand, I was disappointed that I could not use windows 10 anymore. So, I had to use my wife's laptop instead of my old reliable desktop. Also, would have liked guidance on form 8621, but I suppose that's too rare for Intuit to support.

Problem with your Print Center area, it kept giving me the STATE DOCUMENTS page instead of the normal computer PRINT page. Definite GLITCH in the software. I worked around it as it did not start doing that until after I had input all my data and had my tax result.

Product does a reasonable job of walking a taxpayer through topics but seemingly skips sections which must then be addressed through the summary page, when it becomes clear the tax software thinks a section is complete, yet entire topics have been omitted. A knowledgeable taxpayer can easily navigate, knowing what needs to be accomplished. Also, paying for a State filing with a credit card via the Intuit site is the most difficult purchase I've ever made online... incredibly poor webpage layout and clumsy interface. Just terrible.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. This year of course Intuit wants you to do the taxes on line. I chose to download the program. Turbo tax would not pull the data from 2024 even when I tried to load it. This cause a lot of aggravation. please fix this or at least warn people if they down use the cloud it's not going to work right.

This year was quite bad. Vague and some inaccurate prompts. Info links that further confused things. Glitches, bugs galore. quite disappointed. Grammar issues too. I have used Turbotax for decades and this year is by far the worst! UPDATE: My federal and state returns were efile-rejected because Turbotax FAILED to ask me fr my late dad's prior year AGI even though that is required for filing. To be honest this year's Turbotax is pathetically bad. I hope it goes through now. And there is no we withi the program I could check to see Turbotax actually accepted and recorded dad's prior-year AGI after entry. This program needs a major overhaul. VERY, VERY BAD. Also, in entry of an inherited IRA-BDA, where the RMD was nt rolled over to spouse, Turbotax asks "did you transfer the inherited funds to your own IRA account? But this vague language is supposed to mean that the "inherited funds" does not refer the inherited IRA but rather only to the RMD taken from the IRA-BDA, which would NOT be inherited but rather taken as an RMD before spousal rollover. The "inherited funds" does not refer to the residual IRA-BDA funds after the RMD is taken that ARE rolled over to spouses IRA after the RMD. This is a mess. The addtionaly info provided confuses things more by discussing spousal rollover vs inherited IRAs which does not help answet question. The question should have read, "Did you transfer the RMD funds taken from the inherited IRA into your own IRA?" The way it stands, the question will be answered wrong by any careful reader and this leads to improper tax handling of those RMD funds. Turbotax also at one point asks if I have a Canadian retirement program. After I answer NO, the next screen asks how2 much I have in that Canadian program. Have the writers even used this program? AMAZINGLY BAD!!! Do better!!!

Very little on-screen help is provided to understand the questions being asked. Especially true if you have multiple sources of income from one fiduciary, or if you have more than one fiduciary reporting the same type of income. We were just baffled by some screens. While Turbotax may be the best product out there for an individual user, it certainly does not inspire confidence in the output.

I have used TurboTax for over 20 years. The last few years, the quality has rapidly declined. There are so many software errors. It even forced me to complete a second state (KS), when the person didn't live or work in KS in 2025. The state was loaded into TurboTax because of another individual who did work in that state. I will most likely consider switching products next year

It's easy to use, but there are bugs on form 8283, specifically with section A columns (g) and (i). And when I try to override them it won't let me e-file. The resulting return is probably good enough, but it is not accurate according to IRS instructions. I spent 2-3 hours on the phone before I was finally told there is a known bug. This was frustrating and honestly makes me wonder if there are other mistakes I haven't caught.

Given the complexity of our tax filing, TurboTax greatly simplifies the process. That said, TurboTax remains awkward when addressing the more complex investment issues such as1031 Exchanges. TT further fails to allow brokerage account renaming after account download, thus losing detailed account description.
