I did NOT like the fact that itsdeductible is no longer part of the package.... Please add back secondly getting to supporting details is bit more difficult - I had to click on the number int eh box navigate up to the edit menu, select supporting details....... I believe in the past with a right click on the cell it let me select supporting details other than those two items I will continue to use turbo tax and enjoy the software.

This year your program was kind of buggy and the interface not as good as last year. When I went to enter data for 1099 forms the program would not let me enter anything. Spent the whole afternoon trying to get it to work. Finally had to search online to find a work around. Luckily it looks like it got fixed in an update. The way you display the list of accounts when doing 1099 forms takes up too much vertical space - don't need so much blank space around each account as it limits how much i ca see at one time on the screen. Also, why do you NOT do form 8990? It would not that complicated for the TT to fill it out. It is somewhat confusing (due to poor irs instructions) on how to fille out and takes me a lot of extra time as i need to figure out how to do it. Also, anyone who needs a 8990 must now file by mail not by e-file as there is no way to add it to the return.

The new version of importing from financial instituitions was terrible this year. You cant pick and choose accounts. The accounts arent specifically identified. You basically have to import all accounts at once vs one at a time. Lots of on line complaints about this process this year. Why would you have changed this?

Overall, I give you a A Minus. Some of the screens dealing with IRA's and Annutities need to consolidated. Asking the same questions about disaster relief over and over is irratating. Our 1099R from OPM did/does not have a box 3, but Turbo Tax keeps treating it as an error. I had no value for a box 3 entry. This needs revising. It seems to me you use an excessive amount of worksheets for the forms that are actually required to be filed. It would be nice if you provided an advance look for the following year without having to regenerate a new return.

I have been using TurboTax since it was called MacInTax. I prefer to do my own personal bookkeeping (Quicken) and taxes. ... and I really really really prefer doing it on my Mac rather than online. The ability to download my brokerage accounts is huge help. Schedule K-1s for publicly traded LLCs are a huge pain to do by handout maybe soon

I have been using TurboTax for over 20 years and this was the first year I can honestly say that I was disappointed with the software. In addition to not being able to cleanly import all information from the prior year, I was also not able to import one W-2 and one 1099-R that I had previously been able. Additionally, one required form (W4-P) was not supported by the Premier level software and recommended a print filing. Finally, I was frustrated with the desktop vs. online choice. Is the program better (recommended) more complete Online than in the Desktop software? I got the feeling that you would like to migrate to an online only option. If that is the case then you should provide a reason to switch from the desktop. Perhaps it's time to try another program.

Have used the desktop version for years. Consistent, straightforward, and simple. I am confident I have not overlooked anything. This year I started with the online version and became confused. Unable to cross reference things as I went along. Simply not comfortable with the version.

the software all seems to work pretty well overall. the document imports especially were a lot nicer than how I used to just manually transcribe everything over, since I was being cheap. but, for the last few parts where I had to enter in the date and my state and stuff, please change the dropdown lists to comboboxes. also, (and this one is really nitpicky, even for me), there was a piece of the UI saying "we found this deduction for you", but it was just the standard deduction. so yeah, where would I be if it weren't for you helping me out there, right? also, I think that the "AI-generated review topics" card above this text box is stealing focus when the selected review topics changes, and it's eating my keystrokes. I am probably a faster typist, so it is really noticeable for me. also, why are you requiring me to enter in a review title and nickname? come on, there is no way you are getting anything useful there. and you didn't even set a max length on the nickname field, for shame.

I've been quite happy with TurboTax for many years (the ability to download complex financial information is its greatest advantage) and I certainly trust the final result. But with the amount of time it took to work around software problems, I'll do some research before purchasing it next year. Of the very few, relevant community forum suggestions, only re-installing and re-registering the software (Premier for Mac) worked, but this had to be done each time I quit and came back to add more data. However, my returns are filed, and next year's TurboTax may again be trouble-free.

I was disappointed. Seems like the software was actually better in years past, or at a minimum there's been no improvement. I expected AI to make this way better but it hasn't seemed to. Gemini was more helpful with navigating the program than Turbo Tax itself was. When I can't import data I should be able to drag and drop tax forms and be done.
