You don't ask for a government pin before filing. Then you file and the return gets rejected. Then for a non teck type it is a nightmare trying to add it to Turbotax. Why?

There was some kind of problem during the filing process when I was asked to input my email address. I was transferred to forms and then when I returned to filing, I was dropped into the first filing screen.

EVERYTHING WAS HARD TO WORK WITH. I HAD TO GO OVER IT MANY TIMES . ENDED UP MAILING MY NJ TAX BECAUSE THE FILING WAS SO COMPLICATED. I ALWAYS USED TURBO TAX BEFORE AND IT WAS NEVER THIS HARD.

I found it very difficult to enter a worthless stock transaction for which no 1099-B was received. I excercised ISOs for a private company that went bankrupt. There seems to be no way to enter this information into TurboTax.

Bad Error in Form 8949. I REMOVED THE ENTRY INDICATING 8949 DATA would JUST BE SUMMARIZED. Unfortunately, the system put it back in, thereby doubling the CAPITAL GAINS from Fidelity. BAD. REALLY BAD.

You still have a lot of errors in the program. I had to manually enter information on the forms in several locations. I will keep track of those items next year when they occur.

TurboTax is absolutely the best. It's simple, complete, and accurate. I have spread the word to all those people who are looking for an automated way to do their own taxes.

No thanks. But low rating was due to being forced to buy a new computer with Windows 11. If AI is so good, maybe it could help you create an annual version that works on Windows 10 or earlier versions.

Had a glitch this year where it thought my retirement was my spouses (who previously died). I had to delete the whole 1099 info (that transferred over) and enter it all manually.
