I am a new TurboTax user. Always used TaxAct which is easier to use and to get around on. Your Forms approach is much more complicated than the approach I am used to using. Cost more than Taxact.

Why is the IRS IP Pin a six digit number and the eFiling Pin a five digit number. Not well explain not is process to get a Pin. Very frustrating to use.

the ability to get walked through putting information into the program is great. I use that and then go through the forms view. if there is a problem with a form, you can always override what was put in automatically by the program.

You do not facilitate paper filing of state tax. The instructions assume I e-filed. That's a problem. I found that to get the instructions for paper filing of state it was necessary to decline e-filing the federal return. That's stupid.

the product for doing taxes is fine but AFTER i complete the taxes i get charged for e-filing the taxes to the state. This extra charge was NOT very clear and will cause me to look at other solutions for future tax years.

The program itself is excellent, easy to use, fast and efficient. Downloading it to my desktop and rendering it operational was a hellish nightmare. The experience was so bad I may never use Turbo Tax again.

I like the ease of importing last years taxes. this year year my imported 1099 R forms did not import my name and address though they were complete on my brokers website....

Had issues with a couple itemized deduction entries. Even after system updated, couldn't complete section. Got help from support. Issues were handled and able to complete.

Tried to use the free version but could not because I have an HSA. This is a simple return otherwise. Also it would be nice to allow E-File for state returns for free.

You pay for the program up front and it will still charge more at the end. They leak and sell your data too. Free file direct from the irs needs to be the future.
