Most of the Federal part is pretty good. The State part, at least for Virginia, is horrible. In one place near "filing" I was caught in a loop. It said I was required to mail in my return but kept giving me instructions for e-filing. The printing part is horrible. It printed all my documents with about 1/3 running off the page so the information didn't show. It changed my printer's properties and I haven't completely got my normal settings back yet. I had to make pdf files in order to print the documents. The pdf filenames didn't say when it was a state file. The subdirectory for the pdf files did not update eventhough I corrected it numerous times. I never found a place to input the federal or state estimated payment amount that I wanted. Navigating through the printing and filing parts of federal and state was nearly impossible. Most of these problems started after I started working on my state return. I have used the PC version of TurboTax ($80) for many years and have never had any of the problems listed above. I sure hope you can fix things up better for next year.

Slow going at first. Tax documents arrived very late. The Intuit app did not get updated until late January because of factors they have no control over. I made entries early on with info I had and where possible on the app platform. Once all docs were received and app was updated, I had all entries completed and my fed return and VA return done and filed two and a half hours later. I am very pleased and Turbo Tax continues to be the best. Thanks for all you do.

You are forcing me to waste my time filling out review. I need to efile my taxes. I just spent 20 minutes downloading the latest version which errored Out. Please file my taxes I don't want to answer any more questions 'cause I'll use a different service next year. There is no in progress i'm finished

TurboTax makes preparing and filing our tax returns a simple and uneventful process. We've used it since it first came out and we have never had any errors with our returns. The program guides us through all the steps and provides simple explanations that easy to understand.

I love TT and have been. using it for several years. It seems like this year you were pushing a LOT of different options and add-ons, like doing it online rather than desktop, getting live help, etc. You have to realize that that just overly complicates an already complicated process. The screens, especially the opening screen, look much "busier" than they need to be. Make the options very simple and straightforward. Also realize that a lot of your users are seniors who like to stick to what they already know. For them you should make what they already know EASIER to use. One other thing... as I was transmitting, the program crashed. It just kept spinning on "transmitting," and I was kinda freaking out. Wasn't very easy to locate a support person quickly. Make that phone number EASY TO FIND for emergencies. Turned out that it wasn't really a big deal, but for a little while I was really worried about what was happening. Daniel was very helpful. Might help to put up a list of common situations, like what to do if the program stops responding while transmitting.

I have been doing my taxes by hand for over 50 years and was talked into using TurboTax this year. I gave the software a 3 rating because all of the calculations were hidden. I like to see how and what forms are used to get the results shown on the pages and forms displayed on the screen. Also a better explanation of the data requested as input is needed in the guidance section. A number of small items that seem to require much repeated input or reviewing.

I was very happy to use Turbo Tax again. It is easy and so very thorough. However when I filed it on-line info. re. a processing fee came up - I was shocked as never had that before and went thru the info it asked for. After I had done that THEN UP CAME VERY LONG AND DETALED EXPLANATION ABOUT CAN DO IT WITHOUT GOING THRU THAT NEW ORGANIZATION. I think that Turbo Tax should have given advance information about it and not wait until it was almost too late to opt out. I did not opt out as did not want to wait any longer to file it.

The download went fine, but when it was time to add last years(2025) return, the product wouldn't add either the regular file or the pdf I had saved on my hard drive. In fact the product locked up. That was very irritating and concerning. Eventually, I did a forced close and upon reopening, it allowed the upload of last years return. Taxes are stressful enough and I have all my necessary forms etc ready to go so it should have been straight forward. After all I was just adding data when it locked up.

Product overall is excellent and saves me countless hours in preparing and filing my federal and two state returns. One major problem, however, was inability to transfer prior Turbo Tax programs and returns to a new computer, thus necessitating starting data entry all over again from scratch, and losing all year-to-year comparisons. A much smaller problem was an apparent glitch which failed to incorporate one of my withholding payments, no matter how many times I tried to enter it.

In the past I have had no problems but the software was terrible this year. I have been hesitant to submit my return because I don't feel confident in its accuracy. Examples of problems: I was asked, "Did you receive form X?", yes, "Who was it for?", Dependent, "Did you receive form X?", yes, "Who was it for?".... Also, we sold our house in 2025. TurboTax asked me to enter a lot of information off the settlement sheet and said that I owe $82000 in taxes. It then wanted me to enter many of the numbers from the 10 year old purchase settlement sheet to reduce the taxes owed. After that it asked if it was our primary residence, followed by, "Oh nevermind, you don't have to report this". Why wouldn't you lead with that? Additionally, I entered that my wife received Social security disability benefits so it asked me how much I received from the Canadian railroad pension (or something like that). Taxes are already stressful and TurboTax made that far worse this year.
