This is awful

I completed my entire return and now it is continuously rejected by the IRS for mismatched AGI even though it matches my 2024 Transcript. Can't get a human being on TurboTax support line...only a BOT/AI and the answers don't match the issue. Ridiculous and frustrating.

Poor compared to prior years

Unlike the past 20 years I have used Turbo Tax I cannot recommend it this year. There was no side by side year comparison. Information from last year tax return was not used to generate appropriate forms for this year. I had to figure it out for myself. Prompts for this year were not nearly as helpful. Unless I read of improvements before I select software for next year will be looking at other products.

Great software, but could be better

I have used TurboTax for several years and have been pleased with the service, However, this year, I had to re-enter all my information because I could not transfer our return from last year to this year. In addition, I could not find where to apply my refund to next year's Ohio income tax, so I just had it refunded.

Generally good with two issues

My experience was generally good but two items could be improved. First, this year I was not able to download my brokerage statements directly and had to enter amounts manually. This is the first time in several years that this was a problem. I tried multiple times on multiple days. Second I have several accounts with the same brokerage. There should be a way to identify the last 4 numbers of the account number so these can be identified and prompted correctly from year to year. The program prompts on interest from Brokerage, for example, but that is not helpful if there are several accounts with interest and it is impossible to know what account it is prompting for.

Disappointed

Won't accept my credit card because expires in Nov. Form 8453 scrambled and unreadable yet I have to print and mail in (with no explanation from you as to why form 8949 can't be filed electronically. Online help sucks. Several forms have unreadable entries when printed. I've used you since 2021. Won't be back next year.

Still Excellent, but I prefer the older versions

I still like TT a lot, and have never had a problem, but some of the recent style or format changes over the past three or four years have made it a less user-friendly program, IMO. I like the way it walked you through the steps about 4 - 5 years ago, vs. the way it does it now, where one has to choose what to work on next. What If I don't know what kind of income a particular document represents? In the TT of a few years ago, it seems like TT guided me through this without me having to select a bubble on a chart to take me there.

Product is easy to use

Product is easy to use. My only nitpick is that Intuit keeps trying to force me to use their on-line service, when I always want to use the desktop and they try to upsell to the higher-cost programs when they aren't needed. State return was only $20 this year, which I liked.

Unresolved edit on online version prevented efile.

The desktop version is fine. For the first time I tried the online version. I completed it but was unable to efile it due to an edit that could not be resolved regarding the taxable amount of my Federal pension. I was charged for efiling but was advised I would have to file the return on paper. I started over and was able to efile using the desktop version. Please issue a credit for the online version efile that could not be efiled.

Like a child begging you for more money

The tax part is great, but I feel like around every corner Turbo Tax is begging me for more money. And be ready to click OK 10x where it only needs once so Turbo Tax can pretend they are reviewing for accuracy, finding more deductions, etc when it is doing nothing special. Really, it is extremely annoying to use, yet again. Too bad as if you strip all of the nonsense out of the product, it really is a seamless way to get your taxes done accurately.

Turbo Tax used to be easier to follow.

I have been using Turbo Tax for 23 years and haven't had much problem doing so. Why am I getting emails telling me I need to add my income? We are retired and I entered all our income from SS and retirement accounts. I found it much more difficult to enter our SS and retirement income this year than in previous years.
