Another successful year using TurboTax. A few subtle improvements this year that made the experience less "taxing"! Unfortunately, I took one star away because I was unable to obtain copies of last year's return, even I used TurboTax last year (I have the TurboTax emails confirming acceptance of my federal and state returns to prove it). Based on what I saw in the Help Center, I'm not the only user who encountered that issue this year. Otherwise, another good experience with this software.

The format seemed a little user friendly than last year particularly the transfer portal. I also miss the built in virtual help that was part of the format a couple of years ago. Also missed having the disc as in years past, but the program does help the DYI user.

This year was the worse that I've experienced with Turbo Tax instructions. The 1st state filing should have been free. I ended up paying $25 for both Virginia and Georgia. I will follow up for refund. Overall experience was not well. Maybe I'll pay someone to file next year,

The hidden $40 processing fee for federal tax processing fee is a scam. There is no information given on the page that covers charges and fees. It is not charged to you if you pay with a credit card as opposed to paying from your federal return. Why is that information not provided? It seems that it is intentionally set up that way to trick people into paying a unneccisary $40 fee that is completely avoidable. Luckily, I was able to google this information from reviews and frequently asked questions from other customers. That information is not provided anywhere in the software that was paid for that advertizes free federal filing.

The Tax program kept crashing closed on me. Also, got caught in an infinite loop which required closing the program. Also, one credit card entry screen wouldn't allow me to enter the exp month for my credit card because it was off the page. Closing out of this crashed the program.

In many cases the screens for state taxes are different that for federal taxes. Also, additional popup windows providing help and guidance are presented in a font that is extremely small and cannot be enlarges by the user, at least on a Window 11 PC.

I recently used TurboTNew!Click to editax to file my taxes, and I was really impressed with how user-friendly the program is. Everything is laid out in a clear and simple way, making it easy to understand each step of the process. I was able to complete my taxes on my own without any problems because the program guides you through everything. What I especially liked is that if you do want help, TurboTax can walk you through the filing step-by-step so you don’t feel lost or overwhelmed. And if you ever need additional assistance, they have tax professionals available who can answer questions and help make sure everything is done correctly. Overall, it’s a wonderful program that makes doing taxes much less stressful. I would definitely recommend TurboTax to anyone who wants an easy and reliable way to file their taxes.

Have used TurboTax for years. This has been by far my worst experience with the product.This will be thew las year I use this software. This version was so cumbersome and difficult. They would not stop bugging you about using their "new" online version.

i found turbo-tax easy to use. the instructions are simple and easy to follow. you just have to come prepared to respond to all the questions...in other words, have all your annual records to income, investments, forms, govt forms etc.....as long as you are fully prepared, the system if easy to use and you should only need an hour or so to fill out all the necessary information and have the system file for you.

I have been using TurboTax software on my desktop, now laptop, computer since 1996! It was always reliable and easy to use EVERY YEAR! Over the years I've had to file simple and very complicated tax returns and TurboTax handled it all. Until this year. I downloaded the 2025 tax year TurboTax program and it was incredibly "glitchy". I kept having to restart the computer when it got "stuck". Then I had to uninstall and re-install to escape from a State Tax loop, then when I got it going for my state, it wouldn't accept a credit card to pay the $25 fee for electronic filing. The program froze with an error message to keep trying again, and I did several times. Finally I gave up and printed my State return to file by mail. I'm so disappointed in the program this year! I'll try again next year, but please fix the problems. Thank you for such good service and product over the years before this!!
