Misleading claim of free e-filing and later requiring an upgrade from Deluxe to Premium version in order to get what was already claimed to be 'free.' E-filing is essentially free with upgrade -- so state it that way. I'm printing and mailing my return to save $45 -- be upfront Intuit -- include e-file with 'Deluxe' version or don't claim it is free. Considering a new product just for that (what I view to be unethical) claim.

You need to keep on top of IRS rules and regulations. If I wasn't on top of new rules, I would have fraudulently got over a $5000 refund instead of $200. I had to pay your tax expert $50.00 to confirm my thoughts. Also, your Tier II tax Maximum needs updated. I pay you over $100.00 for tax software and I expect it to be right.

This new version if NOT user-friendly. I have used TurboTax for years and had no issue until now. Entering the new tax forms was not straightforward but the most frustrating issue is trying to print the forms for my records. My forms have been e-filed and accepted by both State and Federal but I still can't print them without the "DO NOT FILE" message on them. The AI chat said the forms would not display that after e-filing. On top of all that, getting in touch with Technical Support has been a MAJOR headache.

I am sick and tired of your bull crap attempts to upcharge people. I purchased Deluxe with State included and when you tricked me into using online you tried to charge me for the state return I had already purchased. If you don't tone down all the upselling next year it will be my last using TT. Cut the bull crap!

I have used TurboTax (and its predecessor, MacinTax) since the 1980's. Only 1 year, several years ago, did I try competitors product -- which did not meet to my satisfaction, so I bought TurboTax in addtion that year and have never regretted it... though, this year, there were several problems with the accuracy and features. For example, when showing a summary of this year and last year's income data, there are several (at least 3 of them, which I reported) that would show that a previously unavailable feature was now available. After completing that data, it typically would then show the current year's data. However, there is a bug in the system where it still displays the feature now available. The other problem was encountered with the error checker. If flagged lines 11 and 13 of the Home Sale Worksheet as mising a checkmark. The question only applies when a spouse is involved. This was for my father's taxes. My father passed away this last year and my mother had passed the year before, so he was properly identified as Single (I have not reported this problem). But this has been the "buggiest" year I've seen in a long time from you folks... Very disappointed!

I have always liked turbo tax. However, couple opportunities for improvement: I had 1099R that included a distribution AND a Roth conversion. I had to manually split that 1099R into two 1099Rs so that my Michigan tax return processed correctly (it tried to report all of original 1099R as a Roth conversion. Also, most dialog screens have a show more info for line item entries - but missing on some screens - this was problematic for reporting content from my schedule K-1.

I enjoy doing taxes and usually zip through my simple tax situation: over 75 with a pension. I found the way this program handles a simple pension much more complicated than in past years. If you must treat it as annuity, warn us before we purchase. There should at least be some guidance for the many, many pensioners. Many of my friends thought Turbotax wasted more of our time this year with details that were unnecessary for our simple tax situation. They must have used the interview. The program was fast and accurate when properly filled out. If you use it every year, the access to prior year data is time saving. I enjoy taxes and was slowed down (to go to the IRS Pubs) by this version. Not all of us are annuity, investment buffs.

Difficult time locating screen that accepts license number. Requested assistance and was advised it would require connection to an advisor for a $5 fee. Not very accommodating to a committed customer. Also not impressed that you could not transfer last year's numbers from either your records or from my turbo tax downloads. The forms were easier to navigate this year but your screen options were confusing to me

Let you e-file without a PIN. The program implies it is optional. There is no way to go back to enter it as your online instructions are wrong. Instructions on right side of screen say "Open TurboTax Desktop. Select Fix my return. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your 2025 IP PIN to re-file your return." This is incorrect. There is no option to "fix my return" and no way to get to it. This is a critical bug.

After paying for the software, then had to pay additional $45 for the state, only to then discover, it costs another $25 for e-file. I find this on the border of gouging... and the repeated prompts to add on more services at $60 and $45. I find if one is not competent enough to do their own taxes, with assistance of the software, and requires the add-ins then they should probably not be doing so their self....
