Sadly, an error slipped past your QA and created a return that was not accepted by the IRS. It was impossible to find a way to report that error or to determine if it was being addressed. Finally, a few weeks went by and a message appeared in the software that a delay in filing was suggested to allow time to correct that error. It was finally addressed and the return was accepted. Not your usual product reliability.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I can follow along and figure out almost everything I need to complete our taxes. If I have a question, I can usually click on the suggestion and figure it out. I will continue to use Turbo Tax because it is easy to do. The helpful guides are wonderful because they explain the situation. Thank you Turbo Tax.

It seem as though taxes have become complicated, Turbo Tax has also. But I was able to make my way through it once again. I made an incorrect choice on Federal Schedule D and my return was rejected by the IRS. Turbo Tax isolated it and guided me through the correction and helped my resent the return. Good product feature!

The software is accurate and ultimately gets the job done, but the experience is frustrating and unnecessarily manipulative. TurboTax repeatedly tried to push me between online and desktop versions, surfaced fees very late in the process, and attempted to upsell Audit Defense even though I had already paid for it. The constant upsells and confusing pricing screens make the process feel intentionally deceptive rather than transparent.

This program is constantly trying to upsell me on products I do not need. Every year. I started filing online and went through the whole process and it wanted $200 to complete. I go an buy my own copy of the deluxe version for $60 and then go through the whole thing again, and it was all I needed. The entire time I'm using it, it's trying to upsell me to a more expensive version that I do not need. It also tries to get me to pay additional costs for a state return, I live in WA where this isn't required. I've already entered information showing I live in WA and it's not required, yet it prompts me for a state return upgrade ~3 times. It's an awful experience using this product every year, it's clear turbo tax has a main goa of price gouging the less informed user by allowing you to enter all your tax information and then stonewalling you with a $200 pay wall for features you don't need.

First I had to create a new account because my email changed from last year and Intuit wouldn't let me sign in even with my password and phone number. Then Turbo Tax itself has gotten rid of the charity estimates help for individual item donated. You need to guess how much stuff might be worth now but then they as you how you came up with this total. Finally when printing out a preview copy they also print out an estimated tax for next year that you can pay the IRS throughout the year with. I'm getting a refund of over $500 this year. Nowhere does it explain why and you need to Google this to see it's just a suggestion by Turbo Tax. Is the IRS now running Turbo Tax & trying to get a loan from us?

I have used Turbo Tax products for several years. I was disappointed that "It's Deductible" was no longer available. Calculating charitable deductions wasn't as easy or seamless as previous years. Unfortunately, I will have to explore other options for next year.

Terrible software experiences this year and for the first time ever, I had to file an amended return due to a Turbotax error. The instructions for completing the amended return were horrible. I had to research on my own and phone a friend in order to complete a task that shouldn't have been necessary.

I have used TurboTax for 20 years because it's simple and accurate. But this year, it caused problems that almost cost me a lot of money. When it was downloading interest and dividend statements from banks, etc. it did not recognize when a certain institution was complete, and it wanted me to update it. That caused it to download the same interest and dividend statements multiple times. It tried to add them to my income multiple times, also. That could have cost me a lot of money if I had not noticed it. As usual, it was pretty simple to use. That's still great. And, I assume it is accurate becase I've never been audited (knock on wod). So I'll continue to use Turbotax, but now it eems I ned to be mr vigilant in watching over what it does.

For the most part OK and easy to use for Federal. The State form (CA) experience was buggy and annoying - some screens (e.g. healthcare expenses) direct you back to the Federal form but then there was no way to see that screen again or find out what was done with the information entered (as far as I can tell, never used). The biggest annoyance was at the end. There is no longer an option to print a state return - just "efile now or later"..After efiling the federal return it does NOT proceed to print or file the state. I had to save the state form as a PDF then print from there. And, luckily I reviewed the form before mailing - TurboTax did NOT populate the bank routing/account numbers for the refund. Sloppy and annoying.
