With all the changes made to Turbo Tax this year, I did not find it as simple to complete my tax returns. The online method did not work for me at all so I had to switch back to the desktop method. I did finally complete my tax return for 2025 but it did not seem near as easy as the last few years. Maybe if something is working you shouldn't try to fix it, just my opinion.

I pre-purchased TurboTax. Upon installation, I was bombarded with your TurboTax advertisement for the "on-line" version and I couldn't start doing my taxes until I figured out how to get around that. I had to call the 800 number and listen to the three question prompt "many", many times. I finally screamed at the phone to get me an agent, and it finally did. You need to fix that! I've been using TurboTax since its inception. I have always praised TurboTax to my friends and family. If this happens again next year, I will switch to another tax preparation software.

Would be nice if i could select all the tax forms I have, populate them, then go through the questions; or provide this optional flow. It's nerve-racking to have all this paper in front of me and have to wonder if I've keyed everything and looking through each set of questions and see if i have that form, entered it, etc.

I had a lot of trouble accessing my 2025 return. Instead of taking me to the file in progress, the icon/app took me to the beginning. I had to take a circuitous route, guided by Intuit Tech Support. I also didn't find the 2025 walk-through as easy as in years past, and I wondered why it was considered an improvement. The 'artwork', too, was drab compared to years past.

Many problems with the software. Would not recognize my prior year return initially. Whenever I launched the software and there were updates, clicking the Update button would close the window, then nothing would happen. I would have to quit and start over to get it to work - sometimes several times. Every time I launched it, it would require activation again, and claim that it was activated on multiple machines. When I first purchased it, there were many forms and features missing. All in all, it was a big let-down from previous years.

I do NOT like this version of 2025. Entering Interest, Dividends, etc is very difficult and cumbersome now. If your banks, companies, etc are not available to import the information it takes numerous steps to enter it manually. And I had go through those steps numerous times ONCE I figured out how to even get to the manual entry. It was frustrating.

Have been using TurboTax Deluxe for many years. The 2025 filing edition is the 1st time, I've encountered issues with TurboTax. (1) The stepwise process of data gathering, did NOT automatically ask me for QCD information, thus requiring me to manually locate and complete data entry on Form 1099-R, (2) The stepwise process also failed to ask for my IRS IP PIN, which I had to manually locate the correct location and manually enter the data. and (3) There was a "glitch" in the credit card entry section (for payment to eFile a state return), in which the "drop down" for entering the month DID NOT ALLOW proper data entry. Had to obtain a "work around" from a live "advocate" via phone to resolve this isssue.

I realize you are trying to make your product user-friendly even for those who do not have a strong enough understanding of tax law to do their own returns, but I am ery disappointed in how you have programmed investment security sales for Schedule D and Form 8949. Step-By-Step groups by broker without allowing one to select covered/noncovered or other categories. It coded all my sales as F, which makes no sense. I changed the code in forms, but the change would not flow through to Forms 8949 and Schedule D properly.I had to delete everything and re-enter in forms. And that input screen is not-user friendly at all. Also, there is no reason to reduce private activity bond interest income on Form 6251. I had to override that number.

Well Turbo tax seems to be pretty good so far, I am use to using a program like this I have been working for a Tax company for 4 years and it i very similar . The only things that threw m here was you all required us to have our AGI from previous year to File. I think that is wrong my company I work for Don't Do That. I of course had to go on IRS.gov to get 2024 AGI.
