The biggest problem I had this year with Turbo Tax was handling the tip income that was not broken out on the new 1099NEC form. Trying to generate a Schedule 1A was problematic. The 2 Questions asked were misleading especially number 2. It appeared that those were disqualifying categories. Needs to be worked on. th

The software was easy to install. I don't have a complex tax situation and this software makes the process seamless each year. It's compatible with my MacBook, has easy to understand features, excellent guidance and explanations, easy intuitive interface, and guides with excellent accuracy.

In some ways the tax program was more difficult than in past years. I found that questions were asked without explanation of their meaning. Things were explained better in previous years. regardless, I feel that Turbotax is the best tax program available'

The software itself was excellent as always but the need to use a windows 11 computer to run it was an absolute pain.. Upgraded my main computer from windows 10 to windows 11 but it ran so slow I had to roll back and find a spare barely alive slow laptop to do my taxes

US Citizen and permanent resident in Canada. Make all money in Canada and pay Canadian income tax. Since 2015 Turbo Tax I have been able to claim a Foreign Income Tax credit. For some reason in the 2025 Turbo Tax I could not get form 1116 to appear in the submitted form. I compared worksheets between 2024 and 2025, and it is all the same data. I searched on line and saw the Turbo Tax help which summarizing, "This is not a bug it is a feature", which is ridiculous. I have bought Turbo Tax since 2015. If this "feature" is not corrected in 2026 version I will shift to on of the many other tax preparation software packages.

Do not like the “download” feature to obtain program. It's like flying into the unknown without radar… Personally, I prefer the CD or even a thumb drive. Saving information was “iffy” and was a little unsettling because it never gave a confirmation what you saved or when you did it. Please try to refine this feature.

Normally I love using Turbo Tax but this year I am very frustrated. The second I clicked that my husband, joint on the return, died this past year there should have been a red flag for completing certain sections, prompting completion of a 1041 for the estate and you are the ones that should be able to tell me what to be aware of. Now I have to amend (remove) a couple of items for the 1041 and can't figure out how to do that.

I like the way Turbo tax takes you through everything, but I'm down to 4/5 stars now because I am getting tired of the embedded sales pitches. Why do I need a pitch to upgrade to premium level if I already bought the deluxe version? I obviously don't need Premium. Also disappointed in how the program handled income from a 1099-NEC for some one-time consulting work my wife did - it never showed up on the income summary and there was little informational advice embedded about how to mange the horrendous Schedule C I needed to fill out, necessitating multiple trips to the web for info instead. Not entirely confident I did it right, so I broke down and bought the Audit Defense thing just in case. Hopefully won't need it...

I have been a faithful user of Turbo Tax for more than ten years - in the past I was a huge fan of the product - its simplicity, its accuracy, its ease of guiding me through the entire process of filling my Federal & state taxes each year was top notch - since the changes that made the product no longer available on a disc that could be loaded onto my computer, and required me to use it as an online product, I have experienced nothing but problems - maybe because I don't understand all the intricacies of using the product, maybe because of slow wifi, or slow internet or whatever, I do not know why; but all I do know is I have problems now that I never experienced in the past, and therefore the product "quality" has dropped significantly in my view - in fact for the first time since I began using Turbo Tax, this year I looked for an alternative product that may be more "user friendly" to me.

Been using for years but got stumped on the "pin" issue that the irs gives you 6 digit pin. Then finally figured out where to put it but to electronically file you have to still put in a 5 digit pin that does nothing, or it won't let you continue. very confusing but after 5 trys, got it to accept.
