There are some flaws, with the program, but you have to be knowledgeable user to find them. as to putting the paid State & Local income taxes in the wrong areas, like under the 1099-R in the Tax Payment Worksheet. and different areas from what you W-2 state for State and Local income taxes, at least for PA State, and duplicating the amount that was paid in, that was not operator error, that is what the program did. I don't know about your other states, if their W-2 matched up with your programming, but apparently it sure didn't this year.

Very disappointed in the $40 Refund Processing Fee that is dropped on the tax payer in the final steps- dishonest, unethical and other unpleasant terms. You won't print this and don't care; it's all about ,money. Turbo tax is becoming as expensive as private tax preparer; watch out you may lose customers.

Never had any issues for years now. Helping my youngest do her taxes and four times now, her file is rejected by Federal and then State. We have the correct AGI and Pin from 2024. Tried looking for assist, but seems you've had this issue before and nothing done. Very disappointing.

Very good experience. Did not know if in the beginning I would know that taking the standard deduction was the easy way to complete the form. But, I tried to itemize the deduction and found the section to enter "total out of pocket medical expenses" rather complex and redundant resulting us going back and forth to make changes. It should list the items in the beginning to inform taxpayers to separate medical, dental, eye care, transportation, etc. during the entire year.

I used to be able to do all my kids taxes under my 1 userID, now I had to create a separate Intuit account to be able to efile my daughters return, which was not free because I had to accept the 5 day fast return option and pay for that. I have used TurboTax for more than 10 years, I think I will check into HR Block or TaxCut next year.

I have been doing taxes on TurboTax and with professionals for years. For the last three years TurboTax has simplified it so that just about anyone can be successful at doing their taxes. The help guides make it easy and even my spouse is amazed at the amount of our refunds-far more than when we hired a professional.

It's the software that I use every year, But this year it has some problems. They keep dunning you to pay for extra stuff that should be included. And when they made a problem--something wouldn't "check out" at the end, they asked me to upgrade again or asked me to pay for extra personal help, I just got the answer from ChatGPT. Also, I don't like having to pay an extra $25 to file the small state return, That used to included in the initial purchase price. I just printed out the 11 ages and mailed it for 2 stamps.

I have used TurboTax for several years and have been pleased with the service, However, this year, I had to re-enter all my information because I could not transfer our return from last year to this year. In addition, I could not find where to apply my refund to next year's Ohio income tax, so I just had it refunded.

The Mac version seems very buggy. It would not initially load past return and froze, forcing me to re-enter information. The second time around it did finally pull in my old return. I was initially prompted to use Online Version instead of the Desktop, but it failed to inform me that unlike the Desktop, the online version ONLY ALLOWS 1 FEDERAL RETURN. I do taxes for myself and do them for my Daughter. Therefore, after mostly comlpeting the online version I had to start over with the Desktop version so I can complete both mine and my daughter's return. When I tried to call support it was almost impossible to get to speak to a person, I gave up.

The import process didn't work correctly in populating the RMD from one of our brokerage accounts requiring our key entry of information across multiple funds for the both of us. The way we discovered ti error was that the federal tax owed amount was far beyond reasonable.
