Too many glitches entering data this year. It took 6 tries to get my credit card information to be accepted. I needed help in filing a second return plus the second return lacked the persons ID on the starting screen. Somehow a third return was entered with $0 and couldn't be deleted. I have been using TurboTax for about 15 years and this desktop software had too many bugs!

Overall a good tax prep tool to have. What I don't like about this product is the constant marketing to get you to buy more services. I've paid for the desired product, that should have been enough. Also, the fee to use Intuits payment services is higher then other similar providers for the same service.

I was having a problem and was connected to Tia in Kentrucky and he was the best. He was above reproach in assisting me, and kept me as a yearly user! No one else could help me, but he did an excellent job of helping me!! I have been with you for 22 years

I think that the updates take a long time. Also, I noticed that the access to my computer popup is behind the TurboTax banner and not off to the side where I can see it and give permission to allow access. This results in an error that is not clearly defined, i.e. "Must grant access to computer for updates to be installed" instead a cryptic message is shown that doesn't have any relationship to the give access popup.

For the past several years Turbo Tax has been advising that I do not need to file the FBAR. Initially, it indicates I do need to file an FBAR but then a few prompts later it changes and indicates I do not need to file it. This is incorrect. The FBAR needs to be filed if an individual has foreign financial accounts, the aggregate value of which exceeds $10,000 at any time during the calendar Year. The data I unput clearly falls under this category.

Interface was clear, as usual. Two things were really annoying. One of the auto-added forms was causing an error, and there was not enough built-in help to explain what sort of manual correction is needed. Besides that app was starting a new return, twice, giving impression that all of what I entered was lost. Fortunately I realized what was happening and re-opened original file that I was working on and discarded empty one.

All went smoothly with the deluxe version, including ability to file a K1 form and sales of securities. One minor problem, it was hard to figure out how print just the forms that were actually filed. I tried several things, all of which wanted to print all 79 pages including worksheets and other info. Not sure who would want to print all of that, finally found what I was looking for in File -> Print... This was easy to find in past years, would recommend not hiding it as it appears for 2025.

Most years I would give a FIVE STAR RATING. This year some things changed, and I got a couple of weird messages when I restarted the filing. The biggest sadness for me was not having the Intuit donation helper - where it suggests appropriate prices for household and clothing items donated. Hopefully that will be back next year. It's an easy, user-friendly system and I've rarely had any issues!

I've used TT for many years, but it never seemed this disjointed with an often irrelevant workflow. I had to use Gemini AI to get past the Canadian RPP, which Gemini noted was a known problem for more than one year that is still unresolved. I've never lived in Canada, but it did not stop you from forcing me into that loop that never ends. I teach personal finance and recommend TT regularly. I will be more reserved in my recommendation in 2026. I will use TT next year, it will be my first year of retirement. If it is like this year, I will be saying goodbye and looking for an alternative. I would be sad to do so, but that is not as bad as the frustration experienced today. Sincerely, Allen in Virginia

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years but this years version was somewhat disappointing. It would not pull information from previous year files requiring all data and info to be entered from a blank form and some help screens were blank pages.
