Getting too complicated and Turbo Tax no longer provides simple understandable explanations. In addition, for some unknown reason TurboTax threw me into a Canadian Retirement Fund question that I could not avoid. I have no Canadian Retirement Fund accounts at all.

3 major complaints: 1. Slow rollout of full functionality. My Macintosh desktop version even had an update today, March 19. I was unable to use Turbotax to calculate my Jan15 estimated tax payment. 2. Minimal/nonexistent error messaging. As an example, I was unable to enter data on Form 5805. It would have been helpful to get a message such as "this entry is computed from Smart Worksheet xxx" or "this form is not required" or "override is not possible" etc. 3. Paying $25 for each state return is expensive for our household of 3 tax filers.

I've used TurboTax for a long time, so is easy to keep using it each year. I also like that I can use it for filing five federal returns which covers my family. I did not like that it no longer covers the cost of one state return. Also, the State return is a bit wonky in how it works compared to the Federal return since you always have to proceed through the entire questionnaire every time you edit the return.

Mr. Carlos (Tax Expert) was very punctual, he called me exactly at the time the appointment was scheduled. He was very professional, helpful and very patient with all my questions. He took his time attending me one on one, without rushing. His goal was to help me in everything I needed. I really felt that he cared for my case. I'm truly satisfied with the professional advice provided. 100% recommend this service.

Overall pretty good but unfortunately Turbo Tax failed to submit my returns because it needed an update.. It should have checked this before it to me to the final steps of entering ID and account info..I had to exit, download the updates, and start the final steps again. Also it des not always remember previous selections that you make. For instance when calculating mortgage interest it kept defaulting my HELOC to a refi when I was double checking my numbers for accuracy. i

I was very disappointed with Turbo Tax this year. I had a significant amount of difficulty transferring my data from last year. In addition, despite the fact that I had stock sales transactions last year, questions related to this topic did not appear in this year's program. I could not find where in Turbo Tax to enter the data. Fortunately, I have a friend that is a CPA and she informed me that since Turbo Tax was not prompting me with questions, I had to go into Schedule D and enter the information on my own. However, I encountered difficulties there also as initially it would not permit me to enter my data. The only way I could enter it was in a consolidated fashion. Fortunately my friend was able to help me resolve the problem so that I could complete my taxes. I also, I was not able to obtain an Home Improvement Energy Credit I was entitled to as I did not have the QMID number and the program would not allow me to override it. The reason I use Turbo Tax is that in the past it has been easy to file my taxes. This year it was very difficult and if this continues I will be forced to utilize a different product.

I’m a long-time TT user, and have had few problems with it. Some uncommon terminology used in the forms is undefined, and a to be researched before proceeding. As I finished my Federal return, th software hung up and my cursor just kept spinning. I had to force quit and lost the entire return. A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. However, overall, I would recommend TT for those with relatively simple returns.

Terrible guidance. I used to get some credits that I am not able to get now. You gave no easy way to figure out why the program kept saying I was not eligible. I wasted hours looking up material instead of getting guidance for multiple questions on the program

The software is great, both federal and state. I usually do state without TurboTax, but this time I paid $40 extra for Hawaii state on TurboTax so that I could efile it. However, when I got to the end it said that I can't efile. So, I didn't get what I paid for.

Turbo Tax Maryland State Tax return program has an error. Based on my residence in Howard County, TT should have entered the political jurisdiction code of 1300. Instead, it entered 1400, which is the code for Kent County. The program does not allow me to correct the error which resulted in me not being able to e-file my state return.
