After initial launch, importing the previous year's data and saving, the app apparently didn't actually save the data, and I had to redo it. At the end during filing, the audit defense choice is confusing, and even though I didn't select it, the app required me to enter address information specifically for audit defense.

I used the desktop version that i paid for. It works very well as it has every year. Last year I tried the "free" online version. It was horrible. I had to be a detective to find where to enter certain items and it ended up costing me more than if i had gone ahead and paid for it upfront. The desktop has great guidance and interface.

The removal of Its Deductible is absolutely terrible. With so many free/inexpensive options available, it hardly seems worth using TurboTax next year. With AI, I don't understand why you couldn't use LLM to parse the file and match it to the list of items I enter.

When entering 1099-R, audit requested additional fields to be entered. Since you downloaded it from Fidelity, why don't you have all of the info? Also, when filing for state, it would not take the month of h credit card. Since so many people are reporting this, surely you must understand that it is YOUR SOFTWARE that is the problem - FIX IT.

Turbo tax was much less intuitive than last year. It was difficult, for example, to correctly input our pensions as non taxable for the state. I did not even see that as an option. Finding help info for the software was not simple at all. this is a change from previous versions.

Turbotax covered everything for completing schedule A, but it would be even better if the deduction section had a list of each deduction category. I found that I had to write each section down so I wouldn't include things that should be in another upcoming section.

Had a little trouble getting my efile submitted in getting my payment that successfully went through, recognized by my downloaded TurboTax Deluxe software and then once excepted was told that I had to wait one hour and try submitting the efile returns again. Everything finally through once I waited and logged back in without any additional issues.

I don't know how to say this, but it seemed much more difficult than previous years. Previously, I did not have to give the amount of RMD. Also, the download was not easy. I had to shut down and start over. The first download seemed to take me directly to filling out the personal info for us without putting in the license code.

I have been quite happy with the Turbo Tax software or download for many years. It's a step-by-step process or guide to complete the necessary taxes we have to file. It's much easier than visiting the library to obtain the forms for 540 and 1040 to follow painstakingly slow line-by-line reading.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and have never had any issues with the software. I tried the Online version for my own taxes and didn't like it as much as the desktop version. I used the desktop version for my exe's taxes and it was what I have been used to for years, so I will probably stick with it in the future.
