Used TT for many years. This year I filed using on-line - should have done if off line. Found it very unwieldy. Several times I would close out to research something and reopen my file only to find no edits had been saved. Would fix errors that were flagged and still they would keep coming back as errors. Felt like I was being rushed through.

Goodbye TurboTax!! Have used for years. The removal of the itemized donation valuation feature has made this software useless and not worth the cost to me! "Help" feature was also significantly less helpful in other areas of return compared to prior years! Received worst refund in years! I will be using a competitor software going forward. Not worth the money anymore!

Takes too long to update application with the applicable amendment documents by each state and federal govt. App need a lot more effective navigations and display of information as you go thru the document. In my case, it didn't recognize last years 1099R as I pull over the saved document on my computer.

There were several bugs in the software where Googling the issue had a work-around. Also, need better explanations when things like Education did not quality and does not tell you why. I would like a little more feedback during entries to explain how values are calculated and determined.

There were two times in the process when, after clicking "Continue", the Turbo Tax application kept going back to a form I had already finished. I just manually went to the next section. One was the state income tax; my state has no income tax. The other was the foreign tax paid section.

Filing Wisconsin was frustrating - rejected multiple times before digging around on turbo tax to find out that updates to my state tax filing would be available on turbo tax in 5 days. it would have been helpful if turbo tax had sent a message about this instead of me having to dig to find it.

Have been using Turbo Tax for over 25 Yeats and have always been very happy with it. This year, however, I had numerous instances of being unable to "open" a file to continue working on it. Not sure if it has anything to do with using a Mac for the past two years instead of a PC. Also had issues when trying to delete duplicate pages. It asks near the end of one section after going through error check to enter the info in Box 1 for three of my retirement sources. After doing so, even though I had already downloaded from the various institutions, I saw that it put in the amounts twice. So had to delete those duplicate forms in the return. In addition, when entering my credit card info to pay for the state return, I had to go through the "expiry date" on my credit card month by month to get it to accept "11" as the month. Not sure why this was happening, but sincerely hope I don't encounter this again next year. Still an awesome product.

Relatively user-friendly and thorough. I've been using Turbo Tax for several years so the ability to import info from previous years returns is a big help and time saver. The program covers all normal income sources and available deductions; but, it doesn't always handle special situations. I purchased a new vehicle this year and paid over $7,000 in deductible sales tax. Turbo Tax didn't provide a strightforward way to deduct both the sales tax paid on this big ticket item along with regular, routine sales tax. I had to go to the IRS website and use the IRS Sales Tax Deduction Calculator. Using the IRS calculator was very straightforward and enabled me to get the maximum legal deduction; using the calculator increased my refund by over $800. Turbo Tax should incorporate this feature

TTD forced me to pay for a second state return even though one state return comes with purchase. Washington sta does not have state income tax for every individual, but your system would not let me bypass the fee. I did not have any forms for WA to file and could not avoid the fee.

Hate new charitable contributions section! The previous Tax Year programs made it possible to alphabetize the various contributions to make them easier to find and work with. I think you could also rearrange the entries to suit my needs. Please retool and improve the charitable contributions section for TY 2026. Thanks!
