First time user. Mostly ok but : editing information after a certain point seems impossible, K-1 forms did not mimic the actual K-1 I received from the accountant making finding the proper info somewhat difficult. Also, I got a thumbs up ready to file, hit the file now button and then it's whoops there's an entry not complete and have go back and rectify it. Lastly, add said one free state return. Mine cost $25.

I used Turbotax for more than 10 years. I usually print the returns and file by mail. This year I wan to try e-filling for both Federal and State but ran into issues and could not do the e-filling. The issue was the software asked for the zip code of the recipient which I provided correctly but the software could not continue and I have to return to my old method of printing my returns and file by mail. I paid $20 for state e-filings but because it was not able to complete, I wonder if I will get charged. If I do hopefully I can refund it.

Is a good software, easy to use and walks you through everything which is a plus, but needs to be improved for the IP PIN. The product never asks for the dependent IP PIN is a problem we keep having every year and it continuous not to be fixed. In addition, when the taxes rejected the software does not take you to the location to enter the pi so you have to waste time trying to figure out the correct location so the taxes do not get rejected please fix. that will make software better. Is a good software, easy to use but needs to be improved.

I've used TurboTax and earlier versions, later acquired by TT, for over 40 years. Every year it gets more user friendly. It has always been accurate. The user interface improves every year. I really appreciate being able to import the prior year's return.

The most difficult part of filing with turbotax is the e-filing section. It repeatedly asked to update turbotax when I had already updated it and using the latest version of turbotax deluxe edition 2025, I did'nt think it would take long for the process to be completed but it did. The system needs to be updated in the desktop download version that is purchased from the store so that consumers are able to complete there taxes in a timely manner, it took me an extra couple of hours to complete. Lengthy process.

I have been using TurboTax since 2005 and MacInTax for a decade before that. I am a happy customer. The best thing tha I can say about it is that it has been getting more reliable over the past couple of years. In the past, my routing was to use the software to fill out and print a PDF, review it with a red marker and go back to correct mistakes or fill in missing supplemental information. That didn't change this year but there were no errors, just optional entries. Great job, Intuit!!

Too many questions. For example, I know I want the standard deduction but I can't just select that as an option. For other categories I have to endure a long list of questions just to select one option. Maybe you could combine related questions and ask about the block, giving the option to skip or select at a higher level.

I've used TurboTax for years to complete my tax returns, however I was somewhat surprised by a few things toward the end of the process. They are as follows: 1) The AGI question that comes up when e-filing the Federal Tax Return should NOT have a figure from the prior year tax filing vs. the CURRENT year's tax filing. There is a reference in the guidance for "last years tax return AGI" (or sim) which I found confusing . . last year as in the 2024 Tax Filing, or the 2025 AGI listed on Page 1 of 1 of the current tax filing. The fact that TurboTax did not automatically fill this in with the current information (vs. prior year's tax filing) made it very confusing IMO. You should update the guidance language and fill in the default AGI on the current tax year filing. 2) The fact that the TurboTax purchase does not include the One State e-file is not clear up front, making the 'surprise' at the end of the process equates to a restaurant including a tip in the bill for dinner but not clearly stating such. Just a bad reflection on an otherwise smooth, detailed exercise. Do better! 3) The payment process for the EXTRA $ 25 "State e-file" is repetitive to info previously entered into Intuit's TurboTax purchase . . forcing the Customer to re-enter all our information again when the Name/Address is already part of the filing (and original purchase of 2025 TurboTax Deluxe). Unnecessary redundancy. In closing, I've always preferred to purchase the product in retail locations for record purposes . . but TurboTax was nowhere to be found, only Tax Act and H&R Block. Why??

Turbo Tax Deluxe use to be great and used it for decades. I had a CD with a person to guide you. Now its a download like any other online program. The questions are not easy to understand and there is no side bar to jump to a sub-section. You make people enter a lot of information, or skip constantly, before offering to take a standard deduction. You would think that after all these years, you would offer a discount to prior users. I expected more from such an expensive version of Turbo Tax.

Very time consuming trying to start and update Turbotax. Turbotax has little problem auto-renewing and charging me with little notice. Please fix the run time errors on start up. And do not start finger pointing. I spent way too much trying to fix the problem.
