My taxes are fairly straight forward with single income. The amount of sales pitch I'm subjected to while completing my taxes is getting to be outrageous. I've used TurboTax for 20+ years but am considering going elsewhere next year because of the volume of junk adds for more services. Just let me do my thing and get out of the way.

The features are good, but have been better in previous years. The guidance works well except for during the review process as it forces entry into the document instead of the Q/A lists. The interface works well and always has! That's I always choose the product. Compatibility covers most major operating systems. However, it would be nice to see a Linux version in the future. I've never had a problem with the accuracy of the product. Lastly, it would be nice to not have to purchase state efile.

As usual, the 2025 Federal State Income Tax Product is very comprehensive and very intuitive with its very effective GUIDANCE tool. It takes a lot of the "guess work" out of preparing taxes and supplies easily understandable narrative to each section. This wil continue to be my "GO TO" tax prep software to use for my tax preparation.

I've changed my review to 1 star - My return was continually rejected bc apparently I don't know how to cut & past our AGI from our 2024 return. I asked Intuit's AI chatbot which checked and said our return had not been rejected. I went to Turbo Tax and checked the status of the return and it still came up as Rejected. I really didn't want to mail our return, but finally gave up bc I'd spent collectively at least 2-3 hrs trying to get it submitted electronically. The 1st time I used Turbo Tax many yrs ago, it was super easy. It's gotten more difficult and cumbersome over time. More technical jargon. Links provided for return being rejected are not correct and need to be updated/revise. Keep in mind the following..."Explain it so a 6th grader can understand it."

I have never had any technical issue with TurboTax in the last 20+ years. TurboTax 2025 unfortunately is total opposite. It asks me to download the latest update every time I launch TurboTax 2025 but every time it just gets stuck. Many times the program won't let me skip downloading the update. I had to download the manual update patch to get around the issue to continue working on my tax. Downloading the state return is the same issue. Somehow Intuit knows about this issue so the California state return is available in my account to be downloaded manually. That solved the state return issue. This download issue also spread to my previous versions of TurboTax. When I tried to launch TurboTax 2024, it forces me to download update but gets stuck as well. Now I cannot view my tax returns from previous years... What happened, TurboTax???

I've been using TT for decades and finally calling it quits. I would have had to pay the extra 60 for instruction on how to apply my disability that I claimed last year on TT and it wouldn't transfer over and didn't give the option so I had to pay a CPA instead to do my taxes this year. It's nothing more than an infomercial to get more money from you and is nothing close to what it used to be. Badbye forever TT. Hope you go bankrupt.

Used for 20 years. 2025 version kept pestering me about doing my (Washington) state return--even though it knows that WA did not have an income tax in 2025. It also thought I had a Canadian pension fund, which has never been true. Seems like an unusual lack of quality control this year.

We have used TurboTax for years and have been satisfied. However, this year the quality and accuracy of the service was terrible. There were many mistakes, missing features (like the ItsDeductable service), and there were many unexpected fees - in particular, after being told that e-file was free, it then said to pay $40 to e-file for a processing fee. Not only that, but we already paid for the software beforehand. We were very disappointed, to say the least, and won't be returning to use TurboTax for any future year.

Used to be better. This year I had several issues: 1. I kept getting an error on final check, but it wouldn't take me to the form necessary to fix it, nor was the error helpful. 2. Tried to use the help to find out about my car excise tax, but the help didn't actually provide any useful information. 3. There was information on the federal form (re: donations of goods vs cash) that was not transferred to the state return.

The tax preparation program is fine but it took over 20 minutes to get through the Captua routine just to pay you $20. Annoyed enough that I will consider another software after using TurboTax for over 20 years, Everyone in my family had trouble and called me. I can't keep recommending a software that they can't use. TurboTax keeps asking to sign up or spend money and you have gone from trusted to very scammy.
