Again, another banner year for Turbo Tax - I have been using Turbo Tax from their first year to this year and have never had an issue. I really love the Review done at the end as well as the Audit Meter they provide. I have had rentals and my wife pass - and in these years I had no problems filling my Federal and State taxes. This year I tried the online version for myself and the traditional desktop for my mother and I have to say the ruling is still out on the Online version - I'm not yet sure I like the interface with the online and it would seem that even though I bought the desktop- there does not appear to be a method to go from the online version back to the desktop version.

Your new user interface is totally unacceptable. I will never use Turbotax again unless you go back to the old user interface. You caused me about an additional 10 days to get the data manually into the forms with some belief that the data was somewhat accurate. I'm still not 100% sure. You turned an exceptionally good product into something that is terrible at best. I don't understand why you did such a stupid thing.

I depend o0n Turbo Tax. It guides me and helps me compare with the previous year. It is thorough and accurate guaranteed. I was disappointed that they shut down Its Deductible (that was a very useful tool. Overall it is efficient and points me in the right direction when I have a question.

Love it. I have been a user for years; only downside recently is that the desktop app is constantly asking to add more "priced" options, as well as, getting users to try the "online" version, which worries me. I fear it is a forewarning of intention to future non support of desktop versions. I hope I am wrong. I love the product, as is, and having been using it for decades....

This was my first year using Turbotax after years of using H&R Block without any technical software issues. I only switched because i needed to download banking information from a specific bank that H&R Block didn't offer. After spending hours doing my return and trying to efile it, Turbotax would not accept my payment for the state efile. After spending 3-4 hours over 2 days with tech support, I finally had to pay with my federal return which Turbotax charged me an additional $40.00. I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience and will do everything i can to avoid ever using it again!

I downloaded the desktop version which I've always used. I was then prompted to get the on line for free. The problem is I already paid for the desktop version so its very misleading and lead to a long night. I would have had to purchase the state for an additional $60 to get the "free" on line turbo tax. I'd already submitted so to do. my state taxes I had to redo them on the desktop turbo tax and then paper file state to avoid paying an extra $60 on top of the $80. Big rip off and might never use turbo tax again. Get it together TT and don't be so greedy!!

The questions in this software are often confusing and sometimes use double negatives, making them difficult to interpret even for a highly educated user. Instead of simplifying tax filing, the wording can feel unnecessarily complex and counterintuitive. In many cases, I found it easier to understand tax guidance from AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude than from the software itself. For a product meant to make taxes more accessible, the clarity of the questions needs significant improvement. I had to re-enter my entire tax return after the software accidentally overwrote my file with my son’s return. This was extremely frustrating and created unnecessary risk and wasted time. On top of that, it feels like a poor user experience to be charged an additional $25 just to e-file a state return after already spending significant time preparing everything. Overall, the software is not as reliable or user-friendly as expected for something this important.

No longer imports my W2 because my employer doesn't use the OPTIONAL control number. My HSA form won't import either. I had to enter all the info manually.. I am switching next year to H&R Block or freetaxusa next year. TurboTax is not as good as it used to be.

I have used turbo tax every year for 10 years without any problems, THIS YEAR it didn't submit my taxes altho it said it did. It needed an "update" before it did. But I wasn't notified. I thought it odd that I didn't get update notices, but got busy until I checked my bank account for the withdrawal and it wasn't there. Now I'm late. Changing tax formats now.

Navigating to Home Office and Business Expense is a little difficult to find. Multiple screens to reach. I do us FLAGS which is a great help, but it should be easier to find. // Also, what about creating a separate tab for Business Income/Expenses and not include in the Income\ section. It seems out of place here.
