A little aggravation!

I got a little frustrated when Turbo Tax kept showing a conversion from a 403b to a traditional IRA as income. I had a friend who is a retired CPA glance at it and he went straight to the return was not showing it as income and I was good to go, but I was a little frustrated that it was showing up as income on the Turbo Tax platform.

Turbo Tax filing problem.

The product is great. However, when i tried to use my credit card to pay for my state (OH) return filing, it wouldn't advance beyond my name /address screen. Thus, I was forced to pay the $40 fee from my federal return, which is crazy. Please explain. I've got 2 other returns to file in my family soon.

If It's Not Turbo, I Don't Want It!

This is hands down the easiest tax software to use on the market! Not only does Intuit provide ease of mind, but it also removes tedious guesswork. I have used TurboTax now for the fourth year in a row and couldn't be more satisfied with how effortless it seemed to do my own taxes.

I'm considering another Program!

After using Turbo Tax and its predecessors for over 30 years, I am truly considering finding another program. This year's program was extremely difficult to follow. I am an accountant and file taxes for the corporations I previously worked for, so I am at least familiar with things. I had to read and re-read instructions multiple times before, I hope, I put in the correct numbers. This is the first year you haven't included "It's Deductible". When you give frequently to charitable organizations non cash items, that was a God send. If I wanted to price every single item, I would have had a yard sale!

TurboTax charges

I was filing my granddaughter's tax return, which had a state (Minnesota) return. I purchased the Turbo Tax program at a local retail store with a $10 rebate for filing my taxes and one free state tax return. When I went to e-file her return (before filing my own return) not only did charge $25 for the Minnesota state return, it applied my rebate, resulting in a $15 charge placed against her refund.

There has to be something better than this.

The program was reasonably intuitive; however, they repeatedly try to trick you into purchasing extra services by highlighting a button that looks like the "continue" button but isn't. Also, I'm pretty sure there is a bug in Schedule C where the limitation on the home office is taken from Sch C Line 28 and it should come from Line 29. That cost me $150 because it used the wrong limitation.

Gives a different refund for mail in vs. efile

I don't understand how Turbotax could import my W2, auto-select the classifications used for amounts listed in box 14 on my w2, go through every accuracy check, telling me that my return was 100% accurate with no audit risk, let me start the e-filing process, collect my payment for the e-filing process, and then pop up with a note saying that my return needed review ONLY because I was efiling. It asked me to either correct an error that it suddenly decided was present in my W2 or change my filing method. When I corrected the error that the software created, it REDUCED MY REFUND by $1000. After telling me that the classification was ONLY a problem if I efiled. So the software would have told my return was accurate if I chose to mail it. This makes absolutely no sense. The error that it caught during the last step of efile submission should have been caught at any of the other review steps in the process. I'm extremely disappointed in this software.

Windows 11 version takes time.

At the beginning, tell me what documents I need (credit card numbers, driver's license numbers, etc. Also, since you only now support Windows 11, I never found a way to utilize the info from my prior returns. As a result, it took much longer to file my returns electronically than if I just printed it and wrote a check,

TurboTax Needs Improvement

TurboTax handling of HSA excess contribution, removal, 1099-SA is utterly confusing and wrong. Sometimes 'last year' refers to 2024, and in other places 2025. TT adds to income even when excess contribution had been withdrawn prior to tax filing deadline of the previous year, and tax on that had already been paid in the previous year. I had to manually fix the form. A small item like this held up my progress unduly in completing the tax return.

Turbo Tax

If filing taxes could be pleasurable, then TurboTax makes it as close as possible... One thing though... I was confused in the beginning... I did NOT realize there are at least two ways to begin: apparently there is an On-Line Version... that was NOT what I intended doing... but a support person helped get me back to the version on MY computer... But all's well that ends well... Thanks, Mike
