Please track past uses of the Hope Credit and American Opportunity Credit for us. I have no way to know if or when I have taken those credits in the past. Turbotax asks me when or how many times I have take those credits. That should be information that Turbotax brings in with the import from last year.

I was able to successfully complete and file my Federal and State returns with TurboTax but it was not easy. I was prompted to correct errors several times but it was very difficult to figure out how and the instructions were not clear or easy to follow. I had to use my best guess about what to do and hope for the best. It took almost six hours to do both returns, almost double the time TurboTax said it would take.

I have used Turbo Tax since the 90's, So it has been good for me to use to do my own taxes, The only issue that I had was they need to show the 60 day rollover of IRA Distribution by check and deposited into another IRA managed by a different fund manager in both state and federal narration. Other than that it was very easy to use and calculations and reviews were accurate. Definitely recommend.

In many cases the screens for state taxes are different that for federal taxes. Also, additional popup windows providing help and guidance are presented in a font that is extremely small and cannot be enlarges by the user, at least on a Window 11 PC.

Did not use expert help. Tax program worked fine, but when I got to payment page for filing state return, the credit card page dropdown box for expiration month would not accept my month (12) after trying continuously for many attempts. All credit card info was correctly entered otherwise. Oddly, when I tried another credit card it all worked. Very strange and frustrating.

The "Learn More" tabs need to explain things better. Also, it is ridiculously hard to find the page to purchase the desktop version of the software. Turbotax thinks all its users have a live internet connection all the time. Some people like to do the taxes at places where internet connection is not available, Some people do NOT want to use the online version.

The product is great. However, when i tried to use my credit card to pay for my state (OH) return filing, it wouldn't advance beyond my name /address screen. Thus, I was forced to pay the $40 fee from my federal return, which is crazy. Please explain. I've got 2 other returns to file in my family soon.

Too many embedded clicks required. It's not as easy to walk through step by step as it used to be. The feature for charity deductions was removed and it was very cumbersome and confusing to manage donations to charities such as Goodwill. I will look at other tax software next year. Even typing this review has been aggravating with the autofill feature changing the words. Stop with the AI ... Please stop. Turbo Tax needs to focus on FUNCTION, not trying to be trendy or pretty or seeing how many times the user has to click. More is not better. Your loss of functionality and embedded extra clicks is making this long-time user consider another product for next year. This was the most aggravating use of Turbo Tax ever.

The Software walked me through everything pertaining to the situations that were of importance to me. It also had answers for questions that I had. Very easy to use and understand. I have been using TurboTax for 15 years now, and I have always been pleased with the ease of use and the help if and when needed. I have even had friends and relatives that used to pay someone to prepare their taxes, actually use the Turbo Tax software and were very pleased with it! :)

When selecting a tax payment method you don't show the option for paying taxes using the IRS EFTPS system or paying state taxes using my California FTB online account. You make choosing a payment method confusing. I have to select pay by vouchers which I don't use. And, I much prefer using your TurboTax download version.
