I have been using TurboTax to complete and file my income tax for over three decades. As our income and financial matters became more complex, I have found I can rely on Tubo Tax to be current on changes and provide excellent support. The tools are there to research complex questions.

Mostly pretty good, but some glitches exist. It sent me ack to the main menu of deductions a few times when it discovered I was not qualified for a particular deduction instead of continuing the interview. It also asks for your name and address in several places even though you have already provided it. It should just ask you if it should use your home address.

I do not understand why TurboTax desktop for 2025 will not work on Windows 10. I literally had to replace my laptop because mine was running Windows 10 and was not able to be upgraded. Other than that, I utilize TurboTax desktop because I do several family members taxes every year and am not paying to file them individually.

I docked the product because initially I intended to file "online" after years of preparing the returns using the product "using the computer". I found the "online" product to be cumbersome for me. It was difficult for me to follow the "flow" of my entries. I did not feel comfortable using the product in this fashion.

Some of the prompts were terribly worded and confusing! Just a little more language would have cleared up a lot. One area of several that need improvement is with regard to RMD Income. Also, waiting until we tried to e-file, and then prompting us that transmission failed because we needed a TT update, was really frustrating and should have been produced BEFORE we're clicking the last button to complete the e-file!

Guided tour through every section of tax returns is quite helpful. Topics are logically organized. Unfortunate that I still have to spend hours reviewing documents that I already uploaded to Turbo Tax to answer Turbo Tax questions about the data on those forms. For example, I have to locate and add up the specific amounts received as foreign dividends as to which foreign tax was paid. Also, really hard to match specific uploaded forms to Turbo Tax questions when multiple forms are uploaded from the same broker; each account has a number on the uploaded form, but Turbo Tax does not capture that data or otherwise distinguish among multiple account statements from the same broker (e.g., Fidelity), so I have to search through multiple documents that I already uploaded to Turbo Tax.

Too many attempts to get me to purchase add-on services. From the outset to each change in section, I am asked again to buy live help, or audit defense, etc. ENOUGH!. Also, there needs to be a way to adjust the fonts, size in the application, as the letters are so small it is hard to read!

I appreciate the flow and directions of the TurboTax program. If the tax filer takes the time to read the instructions and carefully fill in the data, he should be able to successfully file his return. My main request is that you don't change up the program from year to year. A few small changes are fine, but big format changes are confusing. Thanks.

Have used TurboTax for decades. Find it easy to use. Never had any audit problems. Simple to move through the steps to enter information and understand precisely the proper way to find the info. The electronic filing option is great. However, if your state requires an e-filing fee, choose the pay by credit card option. This limits your payment to only the state filing fee, and the federal e-filing has no charge. If you select the pay the state fee from your federal refund, there is an added step in TT's process involving a 3rd party and you are charged $40 for that step, on top of the state fee. TT should fully explain the cost of this option. There is no mention of it. Thus,, 4 stars, not 5.

The method of checking downloaded information is difficult to follow because there is nothing on the initial screen that tells you which goes with which account. We have atleast 2 of everything. At least put the last 4 digits of the account on each box in the interest and dividend section
