Unable to file the returns via email since Turbo Tax indicates the 8911 form needs to be filled out when no credit is claimed. So after bring charged for State filing of $25, I am instructed to file by mail. Please reverse the charge for the state filing!

I've used TurboTax for several years now, and have not been disappointed. The guided steps through each section is really helpful. Calculating our tax liability each year is confusing, as things change from year to year. Thankfully, TurboTax is on top of that.

I have been TT user for more than 15 years, always using the Window version on my Desktop computer. I have always highly recommended TT to all of my friends and others. But this year, I am greatly disappointed on two issues: 1. The Hour Glass icon next to an entry on the 1040 used to show the list of items making up the total shown on 1040. But this year, when I did that on line 3a, it would not give the individual entries making up the total shown on this line. 2. My attempt with your support staff was not good. She could not tell me why the number shown is higher than what my 1099-DIV numbers add up to. After much time, she advises me to delete all of my current 1099-DIV forms, add up all of them to a single artificial 1099-DIV and enter the numbers! I rejected that solution. During this process, my screen share froze many times, and I had to go to Task Manager to end the TT process and then restart TT! 2. Finally she transferred me to your experts. I connected with a Darren, TT Expert. We also had trouble in screen sharing - froze many times. But I highly recommend Darren because he was able to help me find the source of the problem. 3. I had lots of problems getting past your very structured & rigid auto phone response system. 4. I also had problem trying to locate the Community Support page to p[ost a question about this issue. In the past this was always so easy!

Spent hours trying to update and couldn't file without serious troubleshooting on my part. I doubt I will use TT again although up until this year I have been very happy with it. Downloading the patch (which had to be installed 3x before "taking"), turning off windows security features, running as administrator, uninstalling/reinstalling TT over again, etc. Could NOT file until all these issues were resolved. So frustrating and just not worth it!!!

I liked the addition of the tiles added to income, interest, investments, etc. So much easier to just click and go! I especially like the addition for employment with the Office of Personnel Management but especially for Railroad. I remember 20 years how awkward it was to file SS and railroad. Good job!

I've used TurboTax since 2021 and previously always found it easy to use. The first time I used Turbo-Tax this year (2025), I finished all entries but i not file because I first wanted to check everything the next day. I logged in the next day and kept getting an Error 190 for which there was no explanation. I closed the application and signed in again and had to enter all information again. I was very frustrated with entering the same information multiple times, e.g. IRA/SEP/simple box contents for each form multiple times. Also, for my CSA 1099R I was not allowed to efile taxes until contents of box 3 were entered. THERE IS NO BOX 3 ON THE CSA 1099R!!!

So many more questions. It takes more time and effort to get it done. it's not your fault. Even with using the guidance feature, navigation thru the forms isn't easy. When you must answer a question, that is in a column of questions, why does the cursor return to the first one. It forces the user to scroll all the way down thru all the question to find their place to answer the next one. It is a waste of time... I am not a tax professional and need to go back and forth to complete the job. I can't make a linear progression thru everything and you could help by making improvements in navigating.

I've been using Turbo Tax to efile my Federal taxes for years but this is the first time that I also used the State efile. Turbo Tax was accurate and easy to follow. I also love the help tips and explanations along the way. I will definitely be using it next year!

I have been using TurboTax for over 20 years, but this year was not very user friendly. The interface was not very good and it was much more difficult and time consuming to use. Moreover, I could not review my forms as I was preparing my taxes and the options limited me in completing the forms. Moreover, it was confusing to use the desktop verses the web browser versions. At one point, I was in an endless cycle of not being able to file my taxes electronically. Last year's version was much more user friendly...this year not so much. It took me about 3 hours to complete my taxes last year. This year it took me probably 7 hours or more. Also, I was on my own to find out how to itemize my gifts since ItsDeductible no longer can be used. At least some thing to point me in the right direction would be useful and helpful. I guess I will still use it unless I find something better. I normally would give it 5 stars, but not this year.

I started with the online version. The option to have an expert do my return was clunky and hard to understand. it also wanted me to wait over an hour to be connected to said expert. I designed to do the return myself. I needed help and reached out to an "expert". My problem was a simple oversight in where to enter estimated taxes paid. The "expert" had no idea how to fix this and had to consult other experts. Spent 45 min on the phone hearing the sound of crying children in the background. TT wanted to charge me $256. I downloaded TT Deluxe for $47 and completed my federal form no problems.
