I did not get ahold of any of your tax experts this year, because I constantly got pressured to buy more product, pay for a tax expert, etc. It seems all Turbo Tax wants is more and more money. It used to be that when you purchased your Turbo Tax product, you were done. I wonder if all the problems with the programming this year was to get people to pay more money to get answers to the problems that were caused by your company.

The version for 2025 was a bit harder to use than previous years. The flow was missing, believe it was due to the software moving ahead of where I expected it to be. Had to back up a couple of times and redo a section because of it. Bottom line it works, will continue using it in the future.

I've used TurboTax for many years - probably more than 25. This year's version was much more difficult to follow than previous years. Some of the links related to needed corrections did not work and it seemed to be impossible to return to the forms that needed to be corrected. Additionally, this version seemed to be too focused on upselling the user to purchase additional products. In several instances, they seemed to try to trick users into purchasing extra services.

I did on the other page, prior to this page. There are some flaws, with the program, but you have to be knowledgeable user to find them. as to putting the paid State & Local income taxes in the wrong areas, like under the 1099-R in the Tax Payment Worksheet. and different areas from what you W-2 state for State and Local income taxes, at least for PA State, and duplicating the amount that was paid in, that was not operator error, that is what the program did. I don't know about your other states, if their W-2 matched up with your programming, but apparently it sure didn't this year.

Everything was great as usual until I tried to print out my tax forms Adobe Acrobat pop up kept interfering with me trying to print my tax forms. No matter what I tried, (x-ing out of pop up, turning down offer for free trial, re-signing in on my adobe software, or even agree for free trial (but not free, they required a credit card immediately)) the pop up kept coming back and interfering with my attempts at printing. Extremely frustrating just to try to upsell a product I didn't want. Crazy Will make me think twice on using Turbo Tax next year even after using it since the early 1990's. It was that frustrating. FIX IT!!!!

I am less satisfied with TT than I have been. You upgraded the OS requirements to where I had to buy a new computer with Win11. It is pretty slow now. TT no longer will automatically calculate and print estimated taxes. Yes there is a work around to manually override a form and print it individually. So, I have with a lot of consternation made it work. I will file paper forms because I have to mail a check anyway.

Used TT for many years. This year I filed using on-line - should have done if off line. Found it very unwieldy. Several times I would close out to research something and reopen my file only to find no edits had been saved. Would fix errors that were flagged and still they would keep coming back as errors. Felt like I was being rushed through.

Overall I find Turbo Tax helpful. The upselling to the next level product or the online version gets a little old. My taxes are not complicated. I understand these options are available, but I don't need to be reminded more than once and then explain why I didn't opt for it. Also, this the second year that I got the "Failed Validation" error, saying I had to go to the Online menu and select Check for Updates. But I never know how to get to the Online menu and find Check for Updates, so I go out to the Turbo Tax community for help. It takes me a bit to understand that all I have to do is completely close out of Turbo Tax and get back in to trigger the update. Maybe THAT should be the provided guidance to avoid confusion and a waste of time. Or better yet, maybe fix that "bug" in your software so the error doesn't happen in the first place.

Until this year, I LOVED TurboTax. It was easy to navigate, and instructions were clear. This year's version is so bad that I am fairly certain I will cancel my enrollment. I am forced to mail my state return, as Turbo Tax is trying to force me to enroll in Audit Defense, even though I declined and removed the form from my federal taxes. The many offers to upgrade or do online or do things I don't want to do are wasting my time. The system is glitchy, and I had to seek help to solve a number of problems. I've wasted more time than I wish to disclose.

Update TT such that if Fed Return is E-mailed, and State is Mailed the process is clearer. TT needs to include direction for correction if a given (1099-B for example) item needed will not open (this happened to me and the TT rep asked me to close Webroot and open TT as Administrator which permitted 1099-B to be opened ... we don't know which one did the trick!)
