TurboTax would not let me file return because box 16 (state distribution) was zero and TT wanted it to be greater than or equal to box 14 (state tax withheld). So I was forced to just enter that number even though it was zero on my 1099-R form.

Everything was fine until I wanted to mail my state return instead of filing electronically. TurboTax clearly wanted me to file electronically and made it cumbersome to file via mail.

Was easy to use once installed. Link to Intuit and afterwards initiate download as if you had the software. Go back to program once you put the id# into the Intuit area. Was awesome once you started using. Also program the cursor to be black!

Imported from Ameriprise and had to fill in a number of forms with addresses and names which was cumbersome. Did not have to do this on the last two years. Very frustrating.

I have used TurboTax since the '90s. It's always accurate based on the information provided. I survived an audit for one year; in my opinion, in part, it was partially due for having used TurboTax to prepare my taxes.

When I had to calculate US interest and dividends it didn't carry over to mt CT state return. The shortcut keys of CTRL+I to show Supporting Detail did not work.

As always, it was easy to file my state and Fed taxes, I filed and 4 days later received the Fed check and the next day received the State check - both into my checking account.

While yes, I completed everything. But I hate all these "add in" crap and the need to log in to you. I hate the fact you require that crap unlike in the past.

Last year, Turbotax calculated a return of $2114. I received an error notice from IRS and received $800. This year, I paid $300. I just cross my fingers, not to receive a "negative correction" from IRS.
