Please knock it off with the hidden fees, constant updates and installations that kept interrupting my filing process and changing my numbers, and advertisements on every video I watch or tucked between the pages of every file. I don't want to have to explain things I don't remember doing and now isn't the time to induce me to make purchases--I'm paying my taxes! I need to see that I'm saving money or getting some back! Otherwise, thank you, this was easier and cheaper than hiring someone.

i believe that Turbo Tax should be able to accept all the information when you sell it to me - not have to wait, and check back when I can add data to my forms. Last year was the same - don't sell Turbo Tax until I can add all the information. When I requested to get notified when section was ready it was for the wrong section. If Turbo Tax is supposed to be able to do my taxes - they better be correct.

The Summary instructions should pick up subtleties for decedent filing - Like Remember to include a death certificate and/or court ordered letter. I recalled seeing these when completing the return and had to LOOK back through the retrurn when preparing the mailing. If I did not recall seeing those, the returns would be rejected and weeks waiting would be wasted.

The desk top version did not have the save a& exit button I have come to expect from the on-line version. I spent 4 hours working on my taxes and somehow accidently closed with out saving when I tried to search for a specific form in the software. To be sure, user error. Also to be sure, poor software design.

There appears to be a software problem with Turbotax 2025. While trying to file my energy credit Turbotax wouldn't allow me to put in my street, city, state or zip code. I also tried inputing this into the form. Still Turbotax would not let me do it . Then, when checking for errors Turbotax identified that the address was missing and would not allow me to e-file my taxes.

Overall pretty good but unfortunately Turbo Tax failed to submit my returns because it needed an update.. It should have checked this before it to me to the final steps of entering ID and account info..I had to exit, download the updates, and start the final steps again. Also it des not always remember previous selections that you make. For instance when calculating mortgage interest it kept defaulting my HELOC to a refi when I was double checking my numbers for accuracy. i

Five restarts of my laptop (3 year old Apple, updated immediately before installing TT2025) were required to finish filing. Three of these resulted in all data entered being lost due to the software freezing while attempting to save with a password, or being unable to enter data into fields for a second (newly added) W2. The dropdown for the security question froze onto the screen (blocking the help menu in other apps) and alsop required a forced restart. This was a fairly simple refund thatnormally takes 45-50 minutes to complete, bu turned into a 2-hour schemazel. After 19-years of TurboTax, which has gotten progressively worse in each of the last 3-years, this will be the last year I spend money and time on it, fighting software glitches.

Program is easy to use. But wait times for phone assistance are long. Had to call once already because I was charged twice for a state return. Now I've been charged twice again for another return, so I'll have another long wait time calling again. Very frustrating. Also, I was initially confused by the online option, but phone person helped me with that.

Have been using TT for quite a number of years now. When I first started, both the wife and I were working and we were dealing with 2 incomes plus all the financial info associated with that. Everything associated with our financials was clearly addressed/handled by the TurboTax program and the e-filing option made it simple to file and pay any taxes due or receive any refunds due. Any questions we had were always clearly addressed by TurboTax's robust and detailed "Help" section. We are now both retired and our income situation is much more simplified, but we still use TurboTax due to it's efficiency and ease of use.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. This year was the first time I had to file an amended tax return because Turbo Tax incorrectly processed my Form 1099-Q Tax Form. Please improve the prompt questions for the form. Turbo Tax had added these earnings from the 1099-Q Tax Form to my tax return and I did not realize this until after I had filed my return. Please add a question to confirm if you need to even report this 1099-Q Tax Form. I found out later if used for I did not because money was used for qualified college education expenses.
