Have been using TT for many years. I appreciate the walk through on many items. However I found that the "State" return chg for $15 somewhat misleading. Yes i could have mailed it in, but with the encouragement of TT it is safer and more efficient to send it in online.....to the tune of an extra $15.

I initially entered info on dividends, then the program asked for IRA info which had the dividends so my income was two times and TurboTax didn't flag it. I manually set all boxes to zero or blanks on the non-IRA dividends section. The program insisted, at the end, to enter the TID number even though all fields were zero or blank. Recommend telling users to not enter dividend info if it is from an IRA.

Two unresolved problems reduced my rating: 1) entries from previous year's return were not imported into 2025 return; and 2) my federal return was first rejected because "my spouse's AGI for 2024 did not match IRS records (when only our combined 2024 AGI was available to fix the problem".

I have been using turbo tax online for years, and I have loved it. Not anymore! This year, they removed the "It's Deductible" section from the charitable donations section of deductions. I found a separate software and uploaded all of my donations there. Then I found out that turbo tax online can't import a pdf. The only way I would have been able to get the deductions would have been to print my forms and complete the information off line and then mail in my taxes. If I was going to do that, I wouldn't need turbo tax! I will not be purchasing turbo tax next year.

Right out of the box software issue related to transfer of files from last years return - had to go out to help site to figure out how to fix. This was annoying and suggests you all are not doing due diligence before releasing software. The refund processing section is also poorly done - as it doesn't tell you up front about a $40 processing fee if deciding to take cost to file state from federal refund. Poorly presented. You all should be doing better than this.

Have been a faithful TT user for over 40 years. Yes it's simple, yes TT makes doing taxes easy and stress free. But your pricing for those that file 1040EZ is ridiculous. I have an older MAC and always just logged in to our online account. This year it was $69 for each return I completed. Ours a retirement return so there are a lot more forms, but 2 are simple 1040EZ. It would have cost us $221! SO I borrowed a computer and purchased and downloaded the program for $80 to complete 3 returns. Next yea I will be shopping other programs for a more affordable tax program. Seriously, $221! I had no problem with $70 for ours, but what happened to file for free for the young bucks hardly making ends meet that only file 1040EZ?

I have used Turbotax for over 20 years. This year has been a struggle as 2 topics (529 expenses and retirement distributions) that have worked flawlessly in the past suddenly had issues this year. This caused weeks in delay in filing taxes waiting for a software update for the 529 expenses (why was the interface changed?) and the retirement distributions error caused my e-file to be rejected. Hopefully, today's software update fixed the issue, but it is quite jarring to get a rejection notification and vague understanding of why and no obvious solution presented. Beyond frustrating.

We have been using Turbo Tax since 2006! Satisfied with their guidance and accuracy. Even though it has been more expensive for the software and then the fee for filing the State, we still believe Turbo Tax helped us complete our taxes accurately and efficiently.

I've used and promoted Turbotax for many years. This is the first time I've been disappointed with it. I spent several hours trying to import my investment information from Schwab and actually contemplated buying another tax software to resolve the issue. I finally found a suggestion on the blog and tried using Edge instead of Chrome as my default browser. Worked the first time. Lack of communication is a poor trait. I hope it does not reoccur.

Have used TurboTax for 30 years. Very logical, sequential, efficient digital method. Saves me $500/year. Enables me to understand exactly how my taxes are correctly filed. TurboTax data entry takes less time than I'd spend with a paid professional. TurboTax has all the detail, instructions, worksheets, etc. for a top-level analysis. Love Turbo Tax!
