Turbo Tax Deluxe was easy to follow the instructions. It is easy to save and was able to come back where I left off when I was not finished with adding all the information. I did have an issue with Turbo Tax calculating the state sales tax and showing the amount on the summary form even though I chose to use the state taxes paid. I noticed a large number of users had this same issue.

I find TurboTax fairly easy to use, but I have one comment. When the program installs updates there are times when a computer reboot is required. The program does not inform the user to reboot the computer. Under these circumstances, if the user doesn't reboot, the program fails to load. I only found this out by trial and error.

The format was not always easy to follow. I did not need some of the forms and needed others. Not easy to determine how to use the ones I needed and discard those that I did not. I much preferred last year's format!!! Not easy to print single documents.

Turbotax incorrectly imported 2 separate 1099-R forms from my Merrill-Lynch accounts. Had I not caught this mistake, the error would have caused me to overpay federal taxes by $700 and overpay state taxes by $600 (plus a state penalty of $70 for under-payment). If TTax can't even do a simple import correctly, it seriously shakes my confidence in the entire product.

Using TT for years now. Very satisfied with it except for one issue. Year after year I have trouble figuring out the Arizona charitable carryover. TT has all the info from the last year, but I have to enter it manually and figure out which form to use. This should be automatic. That is, unless I'm doing something wrong. If so, someone please let me know!

Felt much harder to navigate then previous years. Felt frustrating having to go back and forth when entering dividends and interest for accounts that should have showed up automatically. To many new questions about the previous 1099s that were confusing , and didn't use to be there. Finally at the end when I entered my credit card for efile, it wouldn't accept the correct month mine expired. It would only accept numbers up to 8 and not beyond. Finally had another card with a lower expiration month. Then all went through. VERY FRUSTRATING!

The removal of Its Deductible is absolutely terrible. With so many free/inexpensive options available, it hardly seems worth using TurboTax next year. With AI, I don't understand why you couldn't use LLM to parse the file and match it to the list of items I enter.

The guidance throughout is excellent. Each year I do miss the spot where the IP Pin is input. Not sure if that is me missing it but it would be nice to have that come in the review of the form at the end. A simple question could be, were you issued a Federal IP Pin yes or no.

Guided tour through every section of tax returns is quite helpful. Topics are logically organized. Unfortunate that I still have to spend hours reviewing documents that I already uploaded to Turbo Tax to answer Turbo Tax questions about the data on those forms. For example, I have to locate and add up the specific amounts received as foreign dividends as to which foreign tax was paid. Also, really hard to match specific uploaded forms to Turbo Tax questions when multiple forms are uploaded from the same broker; each account has a number on the uploaded form, but Turbo Tax does not capture that data or otherwise distinguish among multiple account statements from the same broker (e.g., Fidelity), so I have to search through multiple documents that I already uploaded to Turbo Tax.

The program itself is great when it works. I got all the way through, put in my credit card, my payment was accepted and then the program would not let me submit my tax returns!! You need to have an on line chat person available for your customers who pay for your product!!!
